Arc rose is trying fo find a way to prove their house' innocence cus someone (house molde and its supporters) is trying to make it seem like their gonna betray the imperial family which isnt the case... (Hence the reason why the ruby mermaid girl who looks like rose is being used as a catalyst to drive that narrative by her singing politaclly hidden meaning songs.)
They are just slowly getting framed into being so cus when the Chamberlain died, someone needs to fill that role again and the arzens (rose family) is a top candidate for that but the other bad nobles like house moulde doesnt want that cus theyre the ones who want that position so yeah.
