This two character, Penolope and Callisto OH THEY JUST MAKES MY HEART BOILS.

From past chapters, (to be specific, the ball event, i dont remember which chapter) It is clearly known that Penolope truly and genuinely have feelings towards Callisto and from this chapter (149), we can also confirm Callisto feelings towards her. It is already that obvious THAT OBVIOUS to us of course, not to them ( ̄(エ) ̄;)

But what are the cause of both them holding and refusing to acknowledge their feelings towards each other?

Well from Penolope POV:
- She start second guessing her feelings (or completely disregard) after Callisto propose to her on the ball day.
- She genuinely thought that Callisto proposing her because he truly love her but he's a bastard after all, confessed that the proposal was strictly for business
- making Penelope find no hope in trusting anything about love when she is still fighting her ass off to stay alive.

From Callisto POV:
-This is more of an assumption since there's not really a chapter that specifically confirm why Callisto held his feelings.
-Stereotypically in manhwa setting, emperor should not have weakness, they need to be strong, they cannot show their emotion, they must hide their feelings, be flawless yada yada yada... (mentioned in earlier chapter i believe, chapter where both of them stuck in a cave)
-Callisto, who have grown with that mindset decided to disregard his genuine feeling towards Penelope because it is considered weak as an emperor.
-He does not realise that he had been disregarding his feelings towards her as he is just accustomed with concealing his 'flaws'

What actually went wrong?

For Penelope,
-She is too fixated with the whole original storyline thing. I get it, original storyline is important but she turn blind eye when it comes to the fact that the storyline can be change.
-We can clearly see how she keeps pointing out that Callisto will fall in love with Yvonne later on so it is okay for her to say such things (refer to the chapter)
-The point is, how can she be sure that Callisto will be in love with Yvonne? Is it from the original storyline? How can she still blindly trust the original storyline when she already changed half of it? Why does that not come to her mind?
-Plus, Callisto had never even met Yvonne (when Penelope and Callisto were in the garden). People don't change their feelings that easy, princess...
-I think she worries too much about her fate, it is understandable but dont self-sabotage yourself that much (╥﹏╥)

For Callisto,
-short story, he messed up big after the 'business proposal' . I know he has trouble in expressing his feelings but I don't know that he stoop that low....
-He is in conflict with his feelings, dont know how to express and boom, end up traumatising Penelope.
-Can't blame him completely as he grown with that setting.
-Also hot headed, not patient. Penelope wont chase you if you treats her bad, you bastard.

To solve this issue?
-Both bad at expressing feelings, I cant help with that
-Too much misunderstanding each other, need communication
-A kiss, a passionate one (=・ω・=)

It's good that the plot shows both of them having flaws, not just one side. There are depths to the plot. I love both of them together since they are the 'power couple' among the harems. Quite frustrating to break everything down. I hope both of them get well soon ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
