That was one of the best sex scenes I've seen in a manga. The anatomy, the positions, the facial expressions, the smut, the tender moments.... God it was just so damn beautiful.

It seems like the author is projecting herself into Siwoon and scrambling to try and fix things after knowing they fucked up. He with Kang Jinha and her with this story. But it looks like both will be over soon.
Seriously. Siwoon is so hot and cold. Pick a feeling and role with it or at least have some character development. There is not much difference from the Siwoon we saw in the first few chapters and this Siwoon except he feels bad about what he did to Jinha. Which, he should.
I mean i don't understand Russian so maybe there is something more there.
Idk I am just so disappointed in how the story ended up. Typical BL tropes predict that Jinha and Siwoon will make up and they will forgive each other and live together.
I kind of hope the author will have the two actually talk about their feelings and develop their relationship over time but seems like she is wrapping up soon so....

During, Xua and Siwoon are tied up with Jinha in control. He gags and blindfolds Xua, starts teasing him and then leaves him hanging. Jinha unties Siwoon and the two escape the island.
Author-san should actually consider this technique....it's pretty good.

I still read just to see what may happen but tbh the series is going nowhere but is also so predictable. Siwon rejected Jinha over and over again. Jinha still really cares for him and at this point I feel he is setting Siwon free by explicitly messing around with Seonyun in front of Siwon and writing that note. Plus, we've gotten more action between Jinha and Seonyun than with Jinha and Siwon. It's such a frustrating series.

I regret not picking this up when I first saw it. I legit thought it was some angel/devil trope story because of the wings, the smiles and a title like 'Dark Heaven'. I thought it was just another smutty devil story, which I am fine with but I have read too many and just threw it in the back burner. Fuck was I soooo wrong.
This story has made me cry on MULTIPLE occasions. The only other manhwa I can think of that did that to me was 'Let Dai'. I would like to write a full review but I want to wait until the last chapter. Unfortunately, I am not looking forward to the last chapter(s) because I have read/heard they are rushed and unfulfilling. But after the allegations from Koogi about Lezhin stealing money from creators, I have to wonder if JUNS rushed on purpose.
I have also read that JUNS on twitter apparently say they were tired of the fandom and just wanted the story to be over with already. (unsure if this is true).
Thought on any of this?
Don't worry. The ending isn't rushed and Juns never said that. These are all lies spread by a certain user. Don't believe anything she writes. It's usually not true.

Simon's own personal heaven. Like I get the whole chapter of him walking Conner through his heavens throughout his life but that also felt like a goodbye. The way the images in Ch.81 left me is that Simon has passed and he is living the life he always wanted: marrying Conner, traveling with him, becoming stars, performing huge stadiums together....; his own personal Heaven. I mean, Conner can't play anymore (?) right?
Again, I cannot read Korean so please correct me if I am wrong or just jumping to conclusions.

Simon wakes up in ch. 81? that means he's alive. They do get married and lived happily ever after in real life. As for Connor playing the guitar again, he definitely can, he mentioned he practices and plays a little bit for his audience in his video streaming and it's not unbelievable he might be able to regain the ability to do it fully again. As for time skips, i think juns just glossed over Simon's rehabilitation (and probably Connor's rehabilitation as well) but I don't think that matters that much. Anyway, chapter 82 translation would be released soon and i also can't wait to understand the conversations, but so far it's a pretty satisfying conclusion ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Before I write about the chapter I want to talk about rehabilitation after a coma.

Simon had no injuries which would've required a long rehabilitation process. Once he woke up all he had to recover from was the inabilty to move for several months.
An acquaintance of mine was once crushed by a truck (I really mean CRUSHED). They had to put him in a coma for almost two months because they weren't sure if he would have survived it otherwise. I met him several months after that and it was not visible at all.
What I want to say is that the rehabilitation process after a coma doesn't necessarily have to be long and painful. Simon only had to recover from a gun shot and his spine or anything that would require a long process wasn't injured. You can show a panel or two of his rehabilitation but anything more than that would've been unnecessary.
Ch. 82
First of all, I really liked how she told this chapter. She presented it in the same way she told the very first one. Many panels without conversation, a song, the sex scene and the record label. But this time the situation didn't escalte more and more, the chapter just became more peaceful with every panel.
Now to the content:
They get married, Conor's parents and Kiev were there (Conor's dad looked really confused) and they have sex. Conor tells Simon how happy he is that Simon didn't give up and married him, how happy Simon makes him and that he'll spend the rest of his life making sure that Simon knows that.
Then Simon explains why he called Conor a God. He mentions why he thinks people try to find their reason for being by believing in God ("They want to be loved by their God, and hope he'll open the doors to heaven. So they live their lives trying to make this dream come true."). When Simon is with Conor he becomes a better, happier person because he wants to be better for Conor and with this Conor opens the gate to heaven for Simon.
The song that comes next describes how they found happiness even in a dark world (last two sentences of the chapter "It was dark but they had nothing to fear. For they found heaven even in darkness.").
And they have their own record lable now. Conor can still play the guitar, (it was mentioned several times, I'm just too lazy to find the chapters). It's significantly harder than it used to be but he's still able to do it.
So the pictures we see in this chapter don't mean that Simon is dead. It just means that they finally managed to live in this "heaven" we saw in ch. 77.
i don't think showing simon's rehabilitation scene is all that necessary (that's why i said it didn't matter that much) but it would've been nice (just a panel where in connor helps simon regain motor skills or something like that idk) anyway, as for chapter 82, <spoiler>
yes, i really liked it too. I teared up when Connor was thanking Simon for never giving up on him. I think Juns pretty much explained the title very well too. And the fact that Simon and Connor finally got to sing their song (the one they made for their debut) in front of millions of fans and knowing that they got to fulfill their dreams, having their own "heaven" just............ it makes me so proud. It is a satisfying ending, it had everything I wanted and I don't think any of it is rushed in any way possible.
Yeah, I agree, one or two panels would've been nice but it didn't matter to me either.
So yeah, no rushed ending. And that's not really a surprise. She mentioned earlier this year in a tweet that she was thinking about a storyline for the second season but had no concrete plans at this point (I think it was an answer to another tweet). Which means she planned the story for one season.
Of course I'm sad that it's over, but she will write more stories and I'll read them ;) .
Ok so in a way I WAS right, in a way. To me, that scene I mentioned may have been a goodbye, but he ended up living. And, this IS Simon's (their) heaven. But they are actually living it, together. I did put together the parallel of the sex scene from chapter 1 to this one. And as for Conor's hair, it just must have been a good while until this point. I also didn't pay attention to the photographs; in literature, photographs are more often than not a sign or element that the characters are in the physical world. :)
Also, I read somewhere about Connor's dad being absent, but isn't he right there at the wedding on the left?

Yes, Conor's dad is definitely there. He's the guy on the left side next to Conor's mum (in the kiss scene) who looks a little bit lost ;) .
i've instantly become a fan of her too and look forward to reading more of her stories. I think she's a brilliant story-teller and I love that there is a certain depth to her work. A Dark Heaven season 2 would be pretty exciting though :)
Checked out the s3 raws and I love how expressive Yohan has become.
