As an African women I was not happy as bein referred to as a savage. But the mangA was nice

I had the same reflexion a you
I'm an African as well and it's really offensing

Aye... That sentence is really offensive on its own, but I interpreted it in a different way.
I interpreted it as the author's attempt to show that society is prejudice based on misconceptions or her attempt to show that society has a tendency to label people and tell them what is expected of them based on those labels. Like... I don't know how to explain it very well, but it's like the author is trying to tell us that society is not always right.
The examples before and after the African part is also the author trying to expand her thought process on society. High school graduates are in no way below college graduates; Blood type B are always believed to be self-centered and not many think the reasons for the self-centeredness; and being unmarried.. Well, they're certainly not losers.
They're all examples of groups of people who are being judged and underestimated simply because of prejudice and expectations/misconceptions/unnecessary labels. I hope my interpretation can make you guys feel slightly better about this manga ^^;
He said it!! And showed his emotions in so proud!.
