Novel reader here. Agreed. The ML is indeed a manipulative POS who happens to later catch feelings and comes around in the end. And tbh, manhwa's actually portraying him in a slightly better light as some of the shit he says and things he does are omitted. Also I'm happy that it's explicitly stated in the manhwa that this is not BDSM.
Do not trust the ML. He has a history as a playboy and a cheater. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is some convoluted revenge plot. Hope ML suffers regardless. Hate it when cheaters in a story have an easy life and a handed to them happy ending.

I love this author’s other works and the MC’s in those were never weak, even if they weren’t physically the strongest they held their own. I’m gonna keep reading and hope Jing comes out on top and the ML is on hands and knees beginning for a forgiveness that may never come.

When talk no jutsu fails. Also imo sukuna has become the most boring villain, this was a perfect opportunity to let him show ANY other character trait other than “me strong, me kill”. He has no depth and isn’t even written in a fun or entertaining way to make up for it anymore. Even when we 100% knew he was going to win a fight, it used to at least be fun to watch. This final fight is boring and did gege forget about Hikari? Probably.
