ya'll too hung up on the dude being an ass right now. the plot is thickening, and drama is cooking. if it were sweeter, it would be a very boring read.
the whole point is religion vs sin and the conflict they both have with this, while having attraction towards each other. ML was literally whipped and conditioned to be god's soldier and to kill. He knows nothing but hate towards heretics, especially witches. Religion can fuck one up as is, so imagine what a fucking turmoil he has in his head. He has deep desire for fl, but can't really turn everything away since he is under god's and empire's clutches. He still prays ffs, after everything he had done with her. he's trying to find excuses. Let's see how story progresses before ruining the reading exerience. it's obvious he'll change and realize that entire empire and his religion has done nothing but use him and fuck him up.
I thought this is going to be some cringy isekai, but damm, this wild!! idk what else to say, it's a weird read but interesting as it isn't romance, but contains some really weird seksual undertones. also, i am a sucker for anti-hero characters so Will and Rein are right up my alley
female lead is so good!! and the story is very well paced and thought out. the whole premise of the hero-villian polarity and attraction is very uniquely told here. Finally a hitorical manhwa that isn't just cringe, but deals with deep emotion and struggles of mental illness (ptsd, depression, self harm, war...).
I'm just kind of bothered by some historical illogicallity ยด:) like the use of fighter jets in what definitely seems like mid to late 19th century.

both of them. they both idiots. there was literally nothing between them but sex. idk how they got feelings for each other at all. that short time they dated they literally did nothing together (but sex). the most they did was watch a movie together and talk about it and that was before they even dated. so what's with their inability to move on?
they do same mistakes at the same time. then act surprised when they find out about each other's mistakes. and hurt. and shocked. the hypocrisy. then they halfassedly explain the misunderstanding and have sex. rinse and repeat.
it's not a bad webtoon, it's entertaining enough, but their relationship was too short and too empty for them to have this kind of play of cat and mouse chase.
i am ugly crying. i rarely get emotional, but dogs are my biggest weakness. bless this old lady's heart for caring so much for the little puppy ToT

such a sweet ending. It's a good story, nice art, good amount of drama but not over the top.
