I'm past this part of the novel. What happens next....Qiyu is a piece of literal shit. I have tolerated and defended and even loved some trashy MLs but Qiyu? No. I'm not done with the novel so I don't know what will happen, but he's worst than his dad in the first part. I HATE THIS PIECE OF SHIT AND THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO THAT WILL MAKE ME LIKE HIM. I don't want Liqing to be with him. He needs to die and be free. If he doesn't die, he needs to be with Pei Xing or whatever his name is. I couldn't wait another day for chapters and decided to read the novel and I wish I hadn't. I won't drop it bc I'm gonna finish it. The only reason is bc I want to know what is gonna happen to Liqing. Qiyu can die. He can die. Do you hear me? And there's a part where even his father calls him a dumbass bc he's learned from his mistakes with the MC in the first part. But where he messed up was he KNEW this shit was going on and did nothing. So yeah. Nah. I'll continue to read the novel and I'll even come back here, but I am done with Qiyu.
Tiny spoiler....where I'm at, Liqing divorces Qiyu in front of everyone and Qiyu gets pissed and tells him that HE (Qiyu) is the one that's going to divorce HIM (Liqing). And "kicks" Liqing out. This is all after Liqing is framed for the poisoning of Qiyu's dad aks Emperor bka ML from first part and he is TORTURED BADLY in prison. Some other stuff comes out about Liqing's origins too, which make things worse (but the Emperor will let Qiyu know that everyone that needs to know, knows about Liqing'sorigins and that is not Liqing'sfault where he is from). All of this is done by the Whore Slave Hu Nuer. It's not until the father wakes up that things get resolved and Liqing is found innocent and Hu Nuer is found to be the culprit, but he doesn't get tortured like Liqing (at least not at the part I'm at). Qiyu let's Liqing out of prison and tries to act like everything is good and expects Liqing to forget everything and forgive him. But Liqing is done and isn't in love anymore. He is DONE and burns everything of is so that Qiyu won't have any trace of him there. After that is when he requests for a divorce and goes back to his father's house. Oh! Also, while in jail and being tortured, Qiyu brands his name o .Liqing's arm and threatens the General. Liqing confesses but ONLy to save his family. So when he requests for a divorce in front of the Emperor and everyone, Qiyu says that his name is on Liqing so he can't leave. Liqing takes out a knife and cuts off the brand and let's the skin fall to the floor and is like "Here's your brand/name back asshole." and walks the fuck out.
Okay, so that wasn't a tiny spoiler, but a long one. Sorry about it being long. Did I mention that I'm done with Qiyu? Just in case I haven't, then let me say I AM DONE WITH QIYU!!!!!!! I don't care what he does. There is nothing that he can do to redeem himself. Liqing is DYING and is framed by a whore and then TORTURED. You think his dad, the Emperor was bad? Nah. Qiyu is worse.
WTF was the author thinking? It's bad the MC went through some shit in the first part, but do they not like Liqing?? Is that why he had/has to go through this shit??? Why do Authors do this???
