Does this get interesting because I’m at chapter 16 and it’s boring AF

I stopped at ch40 I'm still not into it. There's no remarkable character, not even mc and ml. Mc is just an average person that's it, she's supposed to be a smart character but I haven't seen that side, she only has one simple plan, which is getting emperor and heroine together then have easy life as empress consort, besides that she's not doing anything significant. And ml is uhh dull? Idk if it's the right word. He doesn't seem very capable. How could he have not suspected lehman at all? He's been so so sus....

Natsuo is the worst type of person. Manipulating peoples feelings, trying to get Kou to break up his relationship while he is vulnerable which will lead to heart ache for every one just for his selfish gain AND he hasn't even confessed his feelings. People who harbor feelings for you but hide from it under the guise of friendship then get mad or frustrated when they can't get you are the WORST

The overall story was OK but something about it just completely upsets me and pisses me off. The last chapter was not satisfying or even good it was uncomfortable and frustrating. For Shinobu to blame himself for Kou somehow ending up in the hospital is frustrating and annoying he didn't do anything wrong. This is not his problem nor is it his responsibility. I don't know something about the last chapter just makes me uncomfortable and doesn't tie together everything it feels that the store is not complete.

I don't feel bad for Kou. It's not like he accidentally hurt Shinobu, he set out to break his heart and toss him aside. I'm just glad that he wasn't forgiven so easily, but also mad that a grown man can't take care of himself just because he's being rejected. He is selfish but the uke will forgive him now that he has collapsed. I just want Shinobu to be loved and cherished and if he gets that with Kou then fine.

It's called being lovesick. Letting yourself die because the person you love rejects you is a pretty old trope in fiction (very common in classic literature)... You can't be mad at an adult man for going into depression, whatever the trigger for said depression might be. Even if you hate his guts...

I agree with the seme and understand his reasoning, but if this was any other story or even real life the seme wouldn't be getting this much hate.

Exactly, to be told that a gay relationship is barren and he was so hurt that he confessed. Then Kirishima is guilty and forces his apology on him, and he decided to keep the status quo and stay friends despite his feelings just to make Kirishima comfortable. You got what you wanted Kiri so what now. Toudou has been in an unrequited love for ages and from his p.o.v your just trying to date him to save your friendship, which he has given you again so what would be the sign that says you still want to date him?? He has a right to move on romantically and he doesn't have to discuss that with anyone.

Yeah, I think the part where hits me the most is the fact that he has been in love with him for 12 years but never force his feelings on Kirishima. He silently understands that it's almost impossible for his feelings to be returned. Kirishima wanting to date him just for him to stay by his side imo is very selfish despite knowing Todou's feeling for him. I can recall a lot of mangas with seme that would take that advantage to manipulate the uke when in the situation. But Todou didn't do that.

This! Exactly this is the reason why I'm siding with him. In most yaoi situations the uke would have been r*ped and they would be dating right now but he's so respectful of the uke orientation and of his own feelings and worth. Him not wanted to date unless both of their feelings are mutual is the right way to do it or they'll end up dating and he'll be anxious about when the uke will leave him for a woman or if he even likes him at all.
Not y’all being mad that he’s a tyrant when it’s literally in the name!! You do realize what this story is about right?? It’s about a TYRANT’S secretary. He’s SUPPOSE to be overbearing and unreasonable.
