The art is so inconsistent, and the difference between chapter one and the most recent chapter is huge. The changes were subtle, at first, but then those subtleties kept adding on until inrealizes her face and hair hair changed. The hair change was the weirdest; the wild bangs, flat roots and super puffy ends that makes it look like a mullet when her hair used to be a full cloud of curls. So sad. And its not even only her art too, the crown prince as well and everybody else.
Everyone upset about the pacing is only impatient because technically, they already read a majority of the new chapters in the previous version. Of course you feel like its been forever since the story started and nothing happened, i understand. But in the grandscheme of things, the pacing is perfectly fine. Its only been 20 something chapters, its still setting up the story and expository information. Of course she hasn't left the prison yet, its ridiculous to expect that she has in 20 chapters— i give it until around the late 30s, early 40s. Thats completely normal pacing. If the other chapters from the other version werent up, you might not feel so strongly about it. The only thing i can suggest is going to check out some spoilers and setting yourself at ease. But if it really bothers you that much, put it on hold and come back instead of harboring resentment that grows and grows with each chapter released.
And maybe if you give the manga some time to update, and read all the newer chapters at once, that annoyance you feel wont be so intense.
Also, a lot of the same people complaining about the plot have the conplaints about the art. While I dont understand that particular complaint—this art is so much better, i was actually so glad it got put on hold to change the art from the beginning, it was so, so bad— i also think putting the story on hold and coming back when there are quite a few more chapters can help with that as well.
