The way the author describes swimming through the mc is so amazing. I was a swimmer since I was kid, of course never got farther than high school, but I get what he means when he talks about he feels when he is swimming.
For me it was the feeling of being underwater and not hearing a single sound, it’s a surreal feeling to say in the least. The other part was that swimming was the only time I didn’t have to think about anything. The silence was so calming and I could focus on was the feeling of the water.
I really miss it, I haven’t actually swam since I was 17 cause I was diagnosed with epilepsy and now absolutely terrified to be in bodies of water.

I know right, i cried a bit at that chapter, it just made me remember how many times I cried because of regret in quitting swimming
