I like this a lot but I find Ria a bit annoying. She is so stupid and childish sometimes! She is supposed to be an adult, how can it be possible??? She dosen't understand Caitel at all??? Sometimes, some things (not just about Caitel) seems so OBVIOUS but she is acting like it's so complicated and doesn't understand anything, is she blind? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ On the contrary, in "I was born a king daughter", the MC really thinks and acts like an adult.

Wrong. The girl from TSIWBAKD is far more annoying. She hasn't reached any of her goals yet. She's still being treated like a mutt by her brothers and can't protect herself at all. So boring and clichéd. I guess neither of you have been reading this story very carefully either. Her 'nanny' was quite willing to let Ria be beheaded if Caitel hadn't allowed her to live. And she's the most gentle character we've met on this world, YET. Plus Perdel has shown his indifference to human life at times. ALSO, Ria has stated MANY times that she feels like she's regressing to the age she appears. HMMMMMMMMMMMM. Sounds like there IS a reason she acts the way she does UNLIKE the main character in TSIWBAKD. Ktbn.
I love your response. I also happen to be on TSIWBAKD right now and with some pointers you made... i'll have to agree but also disagree. She is weak physically BUT i can understand why she is the way she is. Unlike this manga the men in TSIWBAKD happen to look down on woman. If she hit any of her brothers (Princes) then thats her. Head gone. If she ran away? She could get raped outside the castle. She endures humiliation daily (like being called mut) because shes surviving in a world where the men are above all others. Dont forget the fact that men are born with powers. So the female lead in TSIWBAKD is a mature character who is strong mentally. Shes also calculating and determined to survive in a world where odds can be easily put against her. The female here has an easy life where shes constantly getting pampered, respected and guarded fiercely.
I couldn't have worded it better myself. I can't really solidly compare these two. since the setting of their prospective stories are different. The main character of TSIWBAKD is living in a world where, despite being royalty, she is seen as less than a mutt. She's trying to live on in a world where the men can easily kill her and get off scott free with it. The main character of this on the other hand doesn't deal with those problem and as you said is pampered and taken care of. I'd prefer the former over the latter.
XD calm down we didn’t say this manga was shit in general! I wouldn’t have continued to read it if it was the case. In my case is just that Ria sometimes have reactions that frustrated me. Yes she has stated that she felt like regressing in age but since one of the selling point for me was that she had past memories I had hope she’d used her past human relationship knowledge more...
For TSIWBAKD I have to agree with Sais though. The word there is way more cruel and difficult that here, that is why she takes more time to reach her goal. Plus for an hyper misogynistic place, she managed to survive quite well. And that is the biggest differences between Ria and Sanghee. Sanghee is in an extremely hostile world where all her choices could end in death, and has to use all her knowledge to stay strong and survive. If she regressed in age like Ria (and I’m not saying it’s her fault) she will be counsider boring and risk death sentences. Ria’s world is less hostile, only Caitel is really dangerous for her, and he already cared about her too much.
I’m not saying that TSIWBAKD is way better than DOTE, but they environment pressure are fundamentally different.

Ria isn’t always frustrating but for exemple with her nanny’s kid. It was so obvious why he rejected her during their first meetings but she still acted clueless.
And at the same times she has adults reflexion moment like when she is defying her dad (which a real child wouldn’t know where are the limites).
That Ria act has a child doesn’t bother me. She has good reflexion and is funny, but she sometimes just has too childish moments for me.
I totally agree with Angel! I didn't say this manga was bad, i like it BUT, as Angel said, I wish she could use her past in this life. Beyond her birth when she doesn't cry, she never really used her knowledge or whatever from her past. And I know she said she feels like she's regressing to the age she appears nevertheless I find it a little disappointing. Otherwise i was just saying that SOMETIMES I think she is acting dumb that's all. Nothnig more, nothing less. I know she is kind and all, don't worry !
