Well yaoi (some of them) are not all about unicorns and rainbows they're showing rape scene and such because you want it or not that's how modern society is its even worse that 'fantasy'. why dont you put yourself on the authors shoe and think why he/she
made something showing rape. And if you rape someone because of too much reading manga with rape then you're the problem stop complainig about the story. He rape him but they're still the end game unlike in reality that after raping someone they're going to kill them fantasy is much much more likeable that reality so stop being hypocrite. And reading something with rape in it doesnt mean you're part of the rape culture.
Yeah, I mean, most yaoi are basically pr0n, so a lot of stuff is just feeding off the author's fantasy and not something to perpetuate as representing RL. I mean, it can, but expecting yaoi to be a representation of how RL is or should be is like expecting normal pr0n to be the same (bc trust me, not every lonely housewife is looking to bang the pizza delivery guy).
While it's a nice bonus if it is (and people are more than welcome to make yaoi too and expand the prevalence of it in the genre), at the end of the day, it's all just a fantasy/fiction meant for adults who should really know better.
