mc seems to be in a fantasy world of his teenage love where he created ml's personality and character everything different from the actual ml. Idk but this is what i see from the mc's side like he seems obsessed with ml that he is ready to forget every bad thing ml did.
And ml, low self esteem, insecurities but still self centered. All these are keeping him low and not investing much in the relationship.

Since mc's dad isnt home much and his mom died nobody gave him a warm hug and comfort which ml gave him.and it was also a warm hug and comfort for ml ,sometimes mc initiates the hug to ml in punishment room which ml was sitting in the sofa.so to get more hug mc showed tantrums.
