im very confused as to how exactly mc sleeping around constitutes as to him deserving of being treated like a literal sex object by ml. the comments below me who're saying this are is concerning at best and sexist at worst. idk yall, so im not gonna say ur [blank] this or [blank] that, I'm interpreting what ur saying as legit disturbing
When a ML in another yaoi is sleeping around, ppl call him a womanizer but when the mc does it yall call him a hoe, and not in the cutesy way but very much derogatory.
Mc like it or not has done objectively nothing wrong in this story as far as I remember. Correct me if im wrong tho. Regardless, he is literally being objectified by ML. I interpreted it that way by how after they were done having sex ml does nothing but masturbates and cums on mc's face, then fast forward to mc crying over it.

Right, like ok MC slept around, so? He’s living his own life in his own lane, doing violin and having sex with no strings attached. The whole thing with his friend was one sided too, not like MC ever faked being nice. He’s refreshingly self-centred, doesn’t equate to him being evil and deserve such treatment from the actual psycho lol

Exactly. I think mc is a very interesting character so I feel like seeing a lot of people as we're reading this story over time continuously say the same thing abt mc acting like a hoe.... is just kinda weird? Like mc is pretty multi-dimensional so seeing his character misconstrued to being a toxic hoe by ppl is, to me, missing the bigger picture. It's not to say he's perfect, like you said he's self-centered.
Idk the reason why I'm just in general making this comment is bc i've been reading this story for months and I feel like i've been seeing the same comments abt mc every week since. Like ugh
I think the primary issue with this story really lies in how we go from 100x amount of rape to a sweet romance. there’s no real middle ground or a good redemption arc, if any.
Nothing really comes out of the rape, and it’s not really addressed until the final chapter and that was just Yugeon saying ml owes him a debt.
The other three rapists more or less get away with it, and the plot rewards them at the end for no reason.
The story was good and interesting but the last season was very underwhelming. gonna give this a solid 7/10
yeah, I mean how can he forgive and forget?
IMO, the adaptation made it more shallow yet less agonizing at the same time, the art is good but it didn't capture the same framing and hue as the author did with the novel, as it was more obvious yet subtle(saying this on the pacing and durations) with the actions, emotions and thoughts portrayed and spoon fed by the author to their readers. All of them had a tad more depth and sweetness.
TBH, MC's choices were either going with this route thingy of Stockholm syndrome or committing due to the PRIMARY reason on having the will to go on is because of his brother which he had probably mulled over for more than a decade and his personality also made a great contribution to that as he was way TOO desensitized starting from a young age.
If it weren't for those two reasons we'd get a whole other story.
Rape is shitty, but you gotta understand the world they're living in. What they've done to Yugeon is unforgivable but due to them being raised wholly different(Aside from Heesu since that guy is totally an oddball to the bone), a gray moral compass, and their sanity and wellbeing on a very thin ice it is somewhat comprehendible.
