I like the story, I understand why the story is progressing that way. I mean, without those aspects this would be a stale manhua. It actually adds to the world building, it doesn't stray away from the main point of advancing the border land. Maybe it's because I have a penchant of isekai manga/manhwa/manhua where characters actually try to use what they know in their past life and apply it in their current life. For mc, it is understandable, he is essentially the most powerful person in the world if referring to technology, so he's bound to dabble to politics, especially if he wants to flourish the inventions that he adapted from his past life.
