I remember reading somewhere while looking for novel spoilers that the ghost that Rosantine talks to in the palace isn't the first emperor but from the side stories it wouldn't be impossible. Isn't it saying that if he doesn't go mad in 1000 years and turns into a restless spirit then Anya (or the thing inside her) will tell him how to lift the punishment befalling his bloodline. The ghost that Roasntine talks to seems to be pretty sane and has a similar name if i remember correctly. I haven't read the main story in a while so my reading comprehension may be absolutely horrible but I would love to hear yalls thoughts.
I think they havent reqch the deadline yet. Also I had read from somewhere that the Ranon ghost who helped Roan from the start was one of the previous emperors and he still remebers his name thats why he hasn't become an evil spirit yet, which mean he hasnt gone mad. But he will soon and he cant control it actually and thats why he has hope for Roan to end the curse.
DID YALL CATCH HIM SAY SMTH LIKE "THE THINGS THAT DESTROYED MY WIFES BODY" ??? HELLO?? those r ur SONS, she loves them. His kids will prob grow to resent his because he obviously don't love them. I feel bad tho cus they look rly in love and we already know what happens.
But he never wanted children. Even his subordinates state this. She should have either not have them (or at the very least stop at one) or go away with her children to protect them from growing up in that environment. Now she just wonders why her children hate her when all they see is that they are hated thanks to her given the emperor's and other people in the castle's comments.
yeah ur rite but we gotta remember she's a little naive and was hella sheltered. she prob saw having kids a like way to show love ifykwim? she was even willing to put her own body on the line to have kids. seeing the emperor not show an ounce of affection for his kids is kinda like showing how he really thinks yknow?
Yes she was naive that's true, and it seems even if she managed to Scape the village she was still sheltered by him. But this is about defending and caring for the children she claims to love. She did use him to escape the village at the beginning so she's not that stupid. I don't think this is the first time he has shown how he really thinks or anything like that. Not really a man to care for anyone (except Ayna at some level) and it shows. The children are already deep rooted in their hatred for her. And if this is the first time, instead of letting herself be comforted by that man and cry over how her children don't love her, she could have shown the same determination she showed when escaping the village and do something about it. Talking to him at least. He did make it seem to her like he would listen to her so she at least could have tried that.
oh hes WHIPPED
