Boruto is more like today’s society and Naruto is the older time - when technology wasn’t common, when smartphones didn’t exist, the computer didn’t have a screen etc.
You must learn to see the difference between the series. In Boruto - Naruto is just a side character. It’s BORUTO’s story NOT Naruto. Naruto is his father, his father doesn’t know how to be an actual father due to him not having an actual father when growing up. Boruto acts like a brat because of this but that’s because he actually wants his father to make some time for the family and not just be “the shitty hokage”.

Boruto is NOT Naruto.
There’s a lot of small and big differences between the stories and especially then main characters. Boruto is a decent manga/anime and so is Naruto.
