People need to learn the word CONSENT. It doesn’t just mean yes and no during sex. He never gave him the consent to take off his mask. Or to touch him. Why should he?! They (snakes and other animals no one wants) are taught this is okay behavior. Snakes and other ostracized by society and are forced to live a life of seclusion. So they grow up being hated by everyone, and they grow up with no one to guide them. Did you not see a Curtis abandoned them while they were still babies? Of course he’s a bad caregiver. Also did y’all not forget that they are still animals just in human form. They do think somewhat like us but they still think primarily like an animal. I agree with you. No matter how we see them in their human form, their way of thinking is still of an animal. Way different to our thinking, humans. Our knowledge is way different to theirs.
