I suspect the whole lil flashback of hae-il being "harsh and mean" cutting pado off (in their school uniform it seems like), was actually pado genuinely fucking up, possibly outing hae-il of some sort. Hence why hae-il even was angry at him like that.

My point was to say that He already had a lot of screen time season 1. So he didn’t just start. His and TJ’s scenes are supposed to be well balanced on the amount of screen time they get. People just tend to be impatient when they don’t see one character for more than a chapter.
