had high expectations and they were completely and utterly destroyed by the sloppy plot that makes zero sense and plain character that just does whatever he wants without a nuance of constancy and pretty much zero character. what does he want? what is he working towards? what does he like or dislike? we are not to know...

the values of the world he lives in are whack, the nobles have ALL the power, and see commoners as expendable gadgets. the people commenting that the FL is annoying ignore that every person in this story is the same if not worse, the first friend he made was also the same but had a decent redemption arc, I believe the red head girl just hasn't had a chance at redemption quite yet, she's already changed quite a bit tho. but yeah that world is awful I believe he will change it but it will probably takes hundreds of chapters cause it's looking pretty bad
