Tbh you're saving yourself the trouble, i read it when it was just as it's peak after reading the author's first work (rlly toxic and messed up) and thought I was going crazy bc the story is rlly toxic and force but every reader out there said it was true love and beautiful and the ML was a green forest

and, honest here, i really do not mind toxic narratives, i believe they should serve the purpose of making the characters or the plot line more interesting, not just for shock value and attention seeking like many MANY popular manwhas do now, or like i am guessing love is an illusion did.

What i really REALLYYYYY hated was how bland, immature, and boring the main couple was. Top was, fine, i guess, but the mc?? like i believe main characters have ONE job and ONLY ONE which is to at least have the sympathy of the reader, or be interesting enough for them but,,, well idk ig

I also don't mind toxic stories as long as there's some type of development, which this story does NOT have. MC was a runaway with an abusive father and a mother who abandoned him, then got rape by ML, coerce into sex a few times, had to carry he did not want, gave birth and found out the ML thought of him as disposable and only ended up getting back with him bc otherwise he could've DIED. Yet almost every reader said he was simply annoyed and ML deserved better
Meanwhile ML stayed the same manipulative and possessive guy he was at the beginning but he's considered a green forest

Idk I think people didn't have sympathy for the MC bc they were too focused on the ML being hot
