I didn't really like it.

Upin realizing that it was his own son that he ate, the father then burned himself to death. Yuzuru had an amnesia because of the trauma this event brought him and forgot all of what happened. His mother re-married Ryosuke's father and lived normally in a different town. However, Ayato's twin Takumi followed them and watched while Yuzuru grew up. At first, his intention was to take revenge. But he slowly fell in love with Yuzuru and decided to make him fall for him too. He locked Yuzuru up to ensure that he will not end up eating humans when time comes that he will turn into a yokai. Yuzuru will still become a yokai upon adulthood because the replacement, the father, died. Not realizing this and only remembering the past, Yuzuru decided to set himself on fire to atone the sin (he felt guilty of the death of the father and Ayato and for making Takumi lonely). When he wouldn't burn to death, he realized that he is the yokai. He wanted to live alone in the shrine and starve to death but Takumi wouldn't let him. Since they love each other, they decided to kill themselves at the train station by jumping in the railway while a train is approachibg. The graves were probably made by Ryosuke and Takumi's friend. When the kid saw them at the shrine, its already their spirits.

Based on the rating, I thought this was just gonna be ok and maybe a little bit tropey. The cover makes me think that this was the usual 'capable younger seme x awkward older uke', but it turns out to be the exact opposite. And then halfway through the story, it seems like their roles seem to be reversed? Heck yeah..

Also I love an older uke who looks very demure and reserved but the is secretly sexy and seductive and maybe a little bit slutty..

It's a masterpiece. In the genre of psychological thriller and horror nothing tops this till this day. And I love how the art style is so unique that no one has ever even tried to copy it. And yoonbum clumsy till the end. Spilling Sanwoo's ashes all over the floor and doing some saltburn kinda shit. Their story was so tragic. Koogi literally used all her brain and vanished.

I won't lie when i first started reading the manhwa I wasn't a big fan of Chase (but that face THOOO) but when i saw everyone commenting how Chase is not a red flag at all later in the novel I was so tempted I wend ahead and read the novel myself. AND BOY- SOMEONE PROTECT CHASE HE IS SWEETHEART! Once comes into terms with being close to Josh we finally get to see how misunderstood he truly is. The only thing wrong with Chase is his fiery attitude but he mellows down SO MUCH. He loves Josh with his everything and is always so scared that he'll get abandoned by him. He literally attached himself to Josh after they start sort of 'getting together' (not in a toxic way) but in a 'please stay with me i can finally breathe when you are with me'. And he tries so hard to be better, honestly you just start to love him so much because once you read the novels your realize the only reason why Chase is so defensive and aggressive is because he's been neglected and abused all his life with no one by his side. So, when he realized there is someone out there who'd protect him with their everything Chase's walls came down as if he was waiting for Josh all his life. I am afraid Chase is just a babygirl <3

I love Josh! The way he deals with everything and even chase is so refreshing to see. He is aware of his self-worth and REFUSES to let anyone take him down. He is Chase's protector. Josh is ready to throw HANDS whenever he is in danger (happens quite a lot since he his life is at risk from the terrorist organization). Even tho Chase and Josh (especially Josh) don't say their 'I love you'(s) until almost the very end of the main story It's very evident how much in love they are in with each other. THEIR SEXUAL TENSION IS OFF THE CHARTTTSS- Josh is WAYYYY hornier in the novels he loses his sanity every time he's near Chase. His thoughts show how much he desires Chase even though he tries to keep his calm on the outside.

I absolutely LOVE their dynamic. I was afraid he'd be similar to Keith but NO Chase is just someone who protects him. He's been lonely ever since he could remember and it's so sad to see him struggle with his fears. They have an intense sexual chemistry and truly do love each other. THEYAREPERFECTFOREACHOTHER!!! The panels with Jingi being swallowed by snow are some of the most beautifully done and impactful scenes I’ve seen here. Definitely gives you the feeling of him being suffocated and overwhelmed by the news.
