there's nothing wrong with either concept, but the way the author went about it is all messed up... like bj alex is a great example of the two concepts being mixed

well it's exactly as what he said. as a person with APD he has difficulty weighing what's morally right or wrong. that doesn't justify his actions but his mental illness is the main reason why he acts horrible.
