Honestly, I can give props to the author for making this pretty decent compared to all the other Chinese manhua on this site that are full of sexist, racist, xenophobic, cliche, and other things that make me drop them are find them totally unappealing. Those are a dime a dozen to be honest and its pretty hard to find a decent one that makes me stay and continue reading. I just wanted to complain a lil about this one a bit cause there are still some things I can't applaud despite actually liking this manhua. (Also, I started reading the novel version after catching up and things become more clear and iffy. So this also be for readers of the novel version ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~)
They tried to be inclusive and show how the mc is kind of a saint figure. She's different from all the other girls. She took in someone with a stutter, a girl who's a bit chubby, and an middle-aged man to join the club. While that's a-ok and all, they keep identifying the girl as chubby or fatty like its what identifies her. Like, no, its not a nickname. Use her d*mn name for F's sakes. She has been shown to be a wonderful and delightful person and we get she is chubby so stop with her gross identification. And no its not only just when mean or gross people just calling her that, its like when they are showing how the team holds their positions and saying like, "oh and the fatty is pairing with so and so against blah blah." Its the author writing out the scene not someone talking. Sorry if that didn't make sense but still, in the end, gross. OoOoOoo, an example since I just found one since I'm on ch518, "“I was the one who treated that fat girl well from the beginning.” When Jiang Zuo said that, he changed his usual debauchery attitude as indignation suffused his peach blossom eyes." P.S. Jiang Zuo, straight out, F you, you ignorant a**hole. You treat her like sh*t not a sibling.
Also for those who have read ch518+, this whole scene is horrendous. My whole jaw dropped. Distasteful AF!!!!

The ML hovering over the mc is also gross. Manipulative and controlling a**. And he should have realized his "gayness" a long a** time ago. You don't feel that way for your brother. Guess you thought abnormally possessive and controlling thoughts was the norm for everybody with siblings Σ( ￣□￣||) I'm so scared for your sibling if you had one, yikes. Also, I THOUGHT YOU WERE SMARTER THAN THAT. Guess your EQ is nonexistent. I hate the nonexistent EQ trope seriously. Stop it already, it ain't cute.
The mc is indeed a bad cookie and I love her but some situations could be avoided with the whole topic of suspicion over her gender. She honestly should be smarter with how she handles the whole thing. She so nonchalant about it all. At this point, her gender is more important because its linked to her identity as Z and the whole exposing herself to Almighty her nemesis. GuRl, tHiS sHoUlD mAttEr tO yOu bAsEd oN yOur PerSpeCtivE.
And yes I know I might get some disagreements or ppl thinking I'm too fussy but you know what, idc cause manhua can always improve and I want to point out questionable shiz for the future. I like this too but still.
Tbh I dont see the Mc as a saint , I just think she’s the type to not give two f*cks if ur rich poor man or woman , also I think the reason she took in/befriended the middle aged man was cuz the author wanted to portray her as someone who has keen senses/someone who can identify if you are someone who is/used to be a pro gamer / someone who can see if you have talent or something (sorry idk how to explain it , english is not my first language and Im bad at explaining sh*t) . And I think the only reason she befriended the boy with the stutter was cuz he was rich or something and I think she befriended yaoyao(I only remember her name) was cuz ... idk she liked Yaoyao , yk like a normal person who befriends a person cuz they like that person .
Dont get me wrong I respect ur opinion and all , I just think she befriended her friends cuz of other reasons and not cuz the author wanted to portray her as a saint .
Oh no, I think I worded that part a bit wrong/weirdly. I feel the author did that to show inclusion but I felt a bit ripped off/baited in a sense when they keep using words like "fatty" to address or identify someone. It's a bit hypocritical to try to show their work as friendly and welcoming to people who may find issue with themselves be it their stutter or weight but then totally flip and literally name and call them by said insecurity. Honestly,this disgusts the hell out of me. Its making me mad that I kinda wanna drop because of it when the story has potential. I think I may just pause on reading and then come back after some time because Σ( ￣□￣||) I don't want to push myself to enjoy something that gross
wTf, ThAtS iT?!!?!?!?!?!! That felt so abrupt and rushed. There was much more potential than that so the ending it surprised the hell out of me. This reminds me of Addiction ( https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/addiction/) with how things ended, though not as bad as addiction. Like the rapist got okay-ish satisfying end? but I'm not totally okay with how our mc handled him at all. The family of the mc was kind of left unsettled, the cop friend was definitely only felt like a support character and I felt like he could have had a bigger role in the story :/ and there's also the FBI ex hook up partner which was kind of lame. He was just kinda introduced then left, then brought back in again and then left once more... BrUh Σ( ￣□￣||) The side characters are by definition chopped liver at this point.
Also, maybe its cause I didn't finish this all in one go and continually read ch by ch but the whole romance on Vasya's part felt confusing. How did he even fall in love again? And for a measly money launderer? No offense meant by that since I really can appreciate our mc at times with his sensibleness, but vasya is a top dog. Maybe this is just me being dumb from the whole chopped up reading.
Honestly the crown prince's encounter with our mc was pretty alright but he honestly just makes me so uncomfortable with how 'perfect' he is. He is the epitome of a cliche.
I also just kinda want to see our mc rise and gain power although in a surprising and unique way that doesn't make this manga another typical isekai op protagonist kinda way. I already have high hopes for this and hope for a new take on isekais.
Also curious as to how the romance part will play out. From what I got, the white flower girl has the vibe of the og heroine. I also don't know how the duke's daughter roll will play. On one side she seems to take the spot of the mc's past sister, but on the other she seems more like the mc's love interest in how he's guiding and charming her.
High chance it's gonna end w/ prince getting with the commoner girl (since she's the "mc" if it's a otome game, light magic is a common indicator tbh + the prince blushed at her so), and MC with the duke's daughter after some obstacles later on. I guess the prince may show some flaws later but for now he seems like a mini adult in a kid's body imo
