Honestly, it was better to hid it bc he didn't know they had a child. If he had told her, she would have followed him to the states, a country she doesn't know nor speak the language, only to be alone with a very sick lover. If he knew about the baby, I would have agreed with you
.... I like it if he told her, he just make decisions for both of them, it's so unfair for her being ghosted. If they will be miserable anyway, I think it's way better to be miserable while being together.
But if you truly love someone, would you be willing to drag her down ? For me, this is the proof he truly cared about her. He knew that her love for him would lead her to make a choice that will make her suffer.
