I guess, Uke realized if Seme stayed that he would come to resent him. Seme wanted to prove to everyone that he worked his way up and he wants to be the bug boss and if he turns down the transfer then that will affect his dreams.
Uke understands that and accepts that...but why couldn't they be in a long distance relationship?
Did he not trust the Seme to still want to get together with him? That their love would not last?
And then time passed, no visits. Not even phone calls or text.

It's hard to explain and it'll be long. But from what I thought when I'm reading this is that the seme wanted to be uke's "prince" so he aim to be the pres in his company but because there's a rumor about him, the seme thinks that it's become "useless" that the seme can't be uke's prince so he decided to break-up.
I got that I just think it's kinda ridiculous. It's not like he was a bum. I could understand it if I himself felt that being better was good but honestly his development looked shallow to me. Like an empty thing only made to satisfy uke.
