i love both of them so much but its actually the dude who is annoying me. she doesn't have any obligation to love you back?!??? even so, she's trying to make out what she feels for you and at the same time forgetting a man who left her deeply traumatized. he already knows she doesn't love him like he wants and he seems to make peace with that and then two chapters later he resents her for it she's actually been doing him a favor ever since she married him just to clarify I'm not blaming him either or glorifying them and the fact that astina feels responsible means that she's aware of what she's making him feel. both have their good things and their bad stuff but i really can't understand how y'all are making her the villain. you're getting swept up in the rhetoric of the story

Knowing that the person you love doesn’t love you back but still decides to stay with you and accompany you is a lot lot better than knowing that the person you love is only with you cuz you look like their ex. The guy is in a really sad situation like his whole world depends on the lady and she’s just crass about the whole thing. If she really was sympathetic she’d try to lie atleast, not be an idealistic little shit with the emotional maturity of a 12 yo.

But she isn't doing that. She genuinely trying to live HIM. She is forgetting her past and focusing on her husband now. HE isn't making it easy for her resenting her for something she can't control. She didn't know his face would be that of her ex. And even before she wanted to love the him now and not the past. I not saying how she went by things was the right way. But she really is trying. Fighting against her won't save their marriage!!!

i hate the blonde guy but the mc ticks me off too.... like, i understand she was having a hard time and it's a very isolating experience but she constantly justifies herself saying "it was bad for me too!", "i was having a hard time" when in the end she's just sensitive to sound and people talk bad about her otherwise she's a privileged noble girl who only stays home reading novels and meets with her boyfriend meanwhile the common people are fighting the war and starving and dying and getting injured. she didn't even think about the war!! tho the bf framing her as a witch and killing her was a wtf move bcs he could have done literally anything else?? anyway it's good that she woke up a little and changed her mentality even if just a little bcs i can't with the type of character who's just a naive privileged girl who does nothing wrong but also does nothing right and when something happens to her it's the end of the world

okay, my bad, i guess i didn't understand that part. but that doesn't change the fact that she was oblivious to the war that was going on. and even after she got to live with the people actually suffering bcs of the war after she dies, she has a victim mentality. she doesn't think about what she could have done or what could she do, she just thinks about herself and the things that happened to her. obviously you don't have to agree, it's just that i felt ticked off since the beginning and that wass what was causing it

I mean again, she literally couldn't stand hearing people talk. The only times she wasn't in pain from the sounds was when there was a few people around her that understood to keep their voices low which seemed to only be her fiance but they normally met in public situations that were loud. Her family treated her situation like a problem amd often sent her to situations that caused her pain, the maids ignored her and everyone else avoided her cause she was "weird". She knew there was a war but not the true extent of it because it was hard to understand what people were saying because they would shout it at her causing her pain. It's not like it's the modern world where everything is printed on a paper or put online and people would write what they want to say to her on a paper, in fact they often purposely caused her that pain so she would "learn to tolerate/get over it". She also IS A VICTIM. She was literally murdered. You can be privileged yet still be victimized. She is rightfully traumatized, she literally got stabbed throw her body witha sword by the one she lived most and actually understood her condition.
plot aside it's kinda refreshing to see the ml look for the mc instead of the mc going after the mo and begging him to marry her
