Season 1 is from Subin's perspective and season 2 from Hyunwoo's perspective. If i recall correctly Dongjun said that before Hyunwoo joined army,he did tell Subin many times, it's just Subin has a habit of not listening to people. So maybe the author will show more Hyunwoo's sides that Subin failed to see (evenso, I don't root for him as it's hard to accept his behavior even with whatever backstory. He crushed Subin's heart like nothing, drove Subin to give up on him for the sake of friendship,then when knowing Subin can do that and also after got rejected by noona, he starts to chase him again. As Dongjun said, he supposed to be happy that he has been freed by persistent Subin.

It's quite sad that we should be prepared that Subin will end up with Hyunwoo (cliché route)

Meh fuck you, it's pretty much a case of semantics. The OP was probably fed up with Hyunwoo being inconsiderate. Even Subin thinks Hyunwoo was inconsiderate of his feelings, sick or not. People are entitled to think what they like to think about the characters and the series, thank you very fucking much (since you like to use the word 'fuck')

He realized the man he loves is looking at another person in the same way he looks at him and in a last ditch effort kisses him in hopes of some kind of response. It's sad AF... how can that not reach you? It was equivalent to punching your friend in the face to try to get through to them because you know that your words aren't reaching. Do you even realize how desperate Subin is? He's loved Hyunwoo for YEARS, this isn't some little crush, he has loved him for years even while apart. Don't get me wrong, i see this from Hyunwoo's perspective as well and i can see where you're coming from thinking he's annoying, but i also think you're looking TOO far into hyunwoo's perspective and are getting even more annoyed than even hyunwoo is getting with subin. Try to imagine things from Subin's perspective, it's not easy being in a one sided love, especially when the guy won't put you out of your misery and sever your relationship. Hyunwoo wants to magically go back to being just friends when that is clearly impossible, it's stupid of him to show a vulnerable side of himself in front of subin by getting drunk and then expecting subin to NOT jump on the opportunity... To put it bluntly, this is what Hyunwoo did: no, i'm not a homo. let's still hang out though, i'll still get drunk around you and make myself vulnerable around you and punch you when you can't take it any more and decide to try again. Think of it this way, if a girl confessed to you and you rejected her, then you got sick, would you still call her to come take care of you while you're sick? I think you might understand Subin better if you put yourself in the same position as hyunwoo, but with a girl, try and imagine how you'd treat a girl after rejecting her. When someone confesses to you and you have no intentions of dating them you should build a little distance to give them time to get over you, hyunwoo doesn't do this, he wants to maintain their relationship exactly as it was before subin confessed and this is unrealistic and kind of a dick move on his part. I know that it sounds like he's being nice treating subin the same, but he's not doing it for subin, he's ignoring subin's feelings and selfishly trying to keep his friend because he doesn't want to let go of him. What subin is feeling is that there is a special person to him that he wants to spend time with, date, be held by (i don't mean sex, i mean he literally wants to be in his arms) and have sex with as well. I can relate.
