Chapter 8 showed some animal abuse with the hamster being squeezed and neglected. Past animal abuse was implied with the dog, and I’m worried there will be future abuse with the cat… has anyone read it that knows if there are future triggers like this?

The mc looks really creepy there and how she's going to adopt the cat just on whim while treating the poor hamster like that is giving me chills
