I recommend this.

I read this a long time ago. It's not BL and it's not an omegaverse, but I think the mangaka did the story better
If you guys didn't understand what the mangaka was saying please look it up before you comment...
First understand the mangaka is talking about Freud's theory on the opposing forces Eros and Thanatos.
Eros is the instic for satisfaction, procreation and life.
Thanatos is the instic for destruction, aggression and desire for peace/death.
According to Freud both this instics are driven by unconscious forces and both are necessary for life.
Now the mangaka first focuses on the procreation aspect of this theory because it involved them.
They wondered if normal hetero couples fulfilled their Eros instic by procreating how did single or homosexual couples fulfilled it.
They go on to broaden on the full aspect of Eros and Thanatos by stating that couples that have procreated loose Eros and in consequence their Thanatos increases (desire for peace); however, poeple that are not heterosexual usually struggle to fulfill their Eros instic for various reasons not just for being unable to reproduce and conclude this people have low Eros and high Thanatos.
They explain that this story was born from their romantic idealism of saving a life in a egotistical way. They reverse the original flow where people usually have the will to live so they have sex to the uke has sex to gain the will to live.
The idea was the uke (who is gay and therefore has more Thanatos) to gain energy from the seme (who is hetero and has more Eros). The mangaka made this distinction which is the one thing that ruined the story for me A little since I think the action of sex was enough to gain Eros not the fact that the seme was hetero. It takes away from my belief that the seme has issues being alone and is therefore crazy in the head and not kind like the uke thought.
I'm confused as to what you mean.
If you mean "take seriously" like believe them true then I think you should consider the patients Freud's theories have helped.
If you mean "take seriously" just by knowing them then I guess every psychologist and psychology teacher and student should be paraded around town.
If you mean "take seriously" like the magaka who was reflecting on the theory and even wrote a story then I must say you have no idea what the role of a freed mind plays in the creation of so many artworks and even sciences.
im sorry but like all of freuds theories, including this one, have been criticised and disproved to actual hell and back because of their lack of any real scientific method behind them.
Psychology is a fascinating scienece, and psychoanalysis can be very interesting, but taking what freud says as true and basing your entire understanding of love and relationships on his theories out of the whole field is actual insanity.
knowing freud's theories isnt taking them seriously, it is looking at them and understanding why theyve been scrutinised and discredited. He's not a source, hes a test of critique, idk what to tell you.
(also the last thing i personally need is a hentai author getting philosophical over yaoi with like the worlds worst understanding of homosexual attraction, but for once thats not even freuds fault)
I know. Again, I'm not defending Freud's theories; they are head splitting. Only the fact that people know of him and his theories because he was a founder of psychoanalysis and those people should not be vilified.
In my original comment, I was explaining the misunderstanding so people wouldn't be mad for the wrong reasons. At the end, I even stated how I had a slight problem with their conclusion.
Since it seems you understand Freud's theory I can easily accept your opinion on the manga and understand that the philosophy aspect is not your cup of tea.
I still don't know if the attack was aimed at me or the mangaka but hopefully I explained myself above. In defense for the magaka all I can say is; just like there is the freedom and flexibility of mind to paint demons so should there be to write about them. Specially since the lens of time can reveal the real demon.
The awaited arc is finally here ヾ(☆▽☆)
Nah. There's no novel. It's just from what we've read so far I think we only have two arcs left for the main leads... We saw them confess to each other and had Kyoko deal with her past so now it's Ren's or more like Kuon's turn to deal with his past... Also Kyoko finding out about Kuon (but I'm not too confident on both being solved at the same time since we might still have to deal with Sho at least once more).
The awaited arc has always been Ren's past because it has always been hinted at but never fully divulged.
The reason why I think we're finally getting the whole story and not just getting baited again is because they are in Kuon's home, he has the stone back and because Kyoko (who can now help him by openly expressing her love) is there through the means of a very convoluted excuse of being a P.A.
It's starting because Kuon went to Rick's gravesite
Look I read the novel and all the artist had to do was match it or improve upon the story but even as a stand-alone the webtoon suck! (Just these last few chapters... the previous ones were good)
And that's because like I said before, they dropped the ball on the two most important scenes of the climax.
1 Edith's physical and emotional toll after the kidnapping
2 How Killeon was a bigger part to the completion of the third condition
I was gonna point the revelations of Edith's situation and Lize's evil to the duke and Duchess but honestly the novel did that mostly on the background so I won't
I had made my peace with the artist changing things ever since they started to show Lize's evil side way ahead of time. I was even exited because I figured the climax was gonna be epic with more emotionally impactful scenes and shocking revelations imcrimimating Cliff so he would actually get punished and not be passed off as a poor sap
Yeah.. I was kinda hopeful as well since the Lize was exposed as the author earlier so I was hoping that there would be more impact on her being as hindrance or some sort but no.. it was poorly done.. I stopped reading after Edit scene in the train station cause it was weird
