Although season 2 became pretty volatile and filled with scenes of SA, one thing I really do appreciate in this work is how badass some of the female characters are. You’ve got Jaewon’s villainous ambitious mom sure but more importantly you’ve got Hee-seo’s detective friend from high school, Eunsung.

In a lot of BLs theres either a lack of female characters or they are treated as obstacles/sex objects for one or both of the mc/ml. Eunsung has no romantic interest in either the mc or ml. From a young age she’s focused on survival, working to support herself and making deals to pay for her mom’s hospital bills, and she doesn’t make excuses when she’s caught by Hee-seo. She’s tough, resilient, compassionate, and has integrity. And then she grew up to become a detective who, slight spoiler from chapter 85,
isn’t afraid to take on criminals who threaten her life. She’s so cool and I would totally read a spin off story about her.

chaejun is literally the epitome of the perfect boyfriend? hes hot, has a nice body and big dick, willing to do anything for you, good at sex AND aftercare, always thinks about you first... Hes also actually a pretty belligerent bitch so the gap moe is just MWAH bonus

I commented earlier about their relationship and sexual experience status but wanted to provide a fan translation of what I read from the authors note:

I think “experience” here means sexual experience. The author’s answer means Chaejun had no relationships whatsoever and no sexual experience hence just the “X”. And for Seunghyun he’s had 3 relationships with older partners but sexual experience is X meaning none.
We all knew already Chaejun is an introvert king so no surprises there. But Seunghyun having no experience either, especially after 3 relationships? He acts so slutty around Chaejun. He always makes moves on Chaejun and grabs his dick all the time. He gave him a bj as a joke. He once said “its ridiculous promising a lifetime together off one time having sex” You’re telling me this absolute menace is a virgin? Author??? The only hint we got was that he said he’s never opened a condom and he put it on so badly people thought the author was the one with no experience, which I think is hilarious. It was more believable this clearly talented artist couldn’t draw putting on a condom than Seunghyun being sexually inexperienced. Honestly I also went with there’s no way he’s a virgin he probably just went without them before.

They both think the other is a slut. Chaejun thinks Seunghyun is a slut for the same reasons I did. And Seunghyun thinks Chaejun is a slut because he’s good in bed. When in reality they were both virgins until each other. Laughing my ass off, it’s too much.

And then when I think about this whole situation a little more, it’s also oddly sweet. Because that would mean Chaejun is the first person Seunghyun felt so comfortable with to be acting like such a slut. I think this is what makes this series so good and unforgettable. Because underneath all the ridiculousness and chaos between them, is a hidden sweetness and feeling of comfort.

As a reminder to everyone, back in chapter 9 it's revealed that Seunghyun hates the hike to the art department. He gets so out of breath he pants like a perv according to Chaejun. This is brought up again in this chapter where Seunghyun says climbing up to the art department is a workout. So he KNOWS it's a pain in the ass to get there but Seunghyun decides it's worth the hassle just because Chaejun wasn't gonna be home with him for ONE NIGHT. ONE. NIGHT. Found out in the afternoon, came to drag his ass home right away.
Like this man can deny all he wants, but clearly his actions say he's rather attached, so much so that he can't stand the thought of Chaejun not being home with him.
The author knows what they're doing, especially with them fighting like an old married couple. Seunghyun even says the classic "You're sleeping on the sofa" line that couples stereotypically use when one is angry with the other, especially from wife to husband. Also, I love that this is Chaejun's place and it is Chaejun's bed and Seunghyun just threw him out to sleep on the sofa. Chaejun just accepts his fate lol.

Taekyung in his own way is kinda twisted and possessive. He refuses to let go of Heeseo despite not wanting to get close to him either.
Hes implied to look for him constantly in the seven years he didnt see him, and he even masturbates to Heeseo too (bc this is a fictional story Ill overlook IRL impacts of SA, which btw is never okay)
And then he tells Heeseo that he put his own life on the line to protect Heeseos body and that Heeseo has no business hurting his own body… implying that Heeseo belongs to him, which Heeseo picks up on. Although Taekyung denies thats what he meant, when Heeseo says to mark him to signify belonging to him and to get him to behave, Taekyung bites him and doesn’t deny what he said a second time.
they both are… strangely twisted in their own ways but I can’t stop being hooked to their story and the gorgeous art.
