Do we have to make a girl be the obstacle between them, come on. There’s got to be a better way to have female characters in a bl story without making them play this role. Im glad the author is setting her up with a side character as someone pointed out to me but Im so tired of seeing oh the girl likes one of them and thats her only trait
I get its a bl story and the focus isnt on girls but still

First time they have sex, Seunghyun came first.
Second time they have sex, Chaejun holds Seunghyun back from cumming and releases him once he gets close to finishing too.
Third time they have sex, Chaejun knows exactly how to pace his thrusts, taking in Seunghyuns every reaction, and adjusts to sync with him to finish together.

Unsleep has such a unique blend of unhinged comedy, raw vulnerability, and intense intimacy. There isn’t some big plot, the author chooses to focus entirely on Chaejun and Seunghyun’s relationship, and literally draws the definition of devotion and tenderness in so many little details. Im kinda scared I wont find anything exactly like this in the future lol

I dunno if anyone knows about the icecream trend on TikTok but I saw some perfect images from the manwha that I had to make an edit with it for Unsleep:

I wonder if the author also has some parental trauma they expressed through Sohan. His issues with his dad seemed so realistic. His emotional journey in accepting his dad will never come to love him and the feeling of isolation from the trauma is explored in a way I haven’t seen in other BL stories.
There’s the sense of duty to his parent which is why he can’t abandon his dad. Then there’s some hope that he could really rebuild a relationship with him after all as they spend time together. And then came the despair and realization that his dad has never wanted that and never will.
The story touches on campus life but for other people, not for Sohan who never had the chance to even consider college. His landlord goes to college and his cafe coworker goes to college and the cafe is popular with people his age who are going to college. He goes to the campus library even but not as a student. It feels like a deliberate choice to show how the actions of his failure of parents robs Sohan of the chance to lead a life others around him are leading, despite being in close proximity to them.
I have great respect for people who make the decision that college is not the right fit for them, but in Sohan’s case he was robbed of making that choice in favor of working to pay his dads debt. Everything he did was for the benefit of other people, and nobody stopped him. Nobody helped him. My heart hurts for Sohan.
But on the bright side, he can now just go to a whole nother planet where he wont need to work lol. And it’s up to him when he wants to go. Sihwa recognizes and cherishes his kindness, and is someone who finally puts Sohan first.
