Hold up is ch 17 showing their first meeting?

Alice K April 10, 2025 3:59 pm

I saw spoilers on red note for chapter 16, they have an oddly domestic moment where Juyeon (top) makes Jiwook (bottom) breakfast and tells him to not play on his phone while he eats. Jiwook gets a notification from the fox faced guy and Juyeon tells him not to hang out with him, he doesn’t like seeing them tgt (which reads to me as being worried for him?).
Jiwook gets angry, yells at him asking again why he’s doing this to him. Juyeon gets some dark thoughts here, thinking to himself “not enough , what i did was completely not enough. He’s still living in another world.” (Bad foreshadowing….?)
Juyeon replies everything has a reason but he doesn’t need to know.

If anyone is curious to read the raws on rednote for chapter 16 for themselves this is the link for the post I saw:
http://xhslink.com/a/SuqR6hfXHxV9

The comment section had some interesting spoilers and analyses.
One person said the reason why Jiwook doesn’t remember anything is because in the novel he was hit in the head during a fight. So Jiwook completely forgot he arranged for Juyeon to be gangraped… and after Jiwook was hospitalized after the fight, Juyeon still worried about him and went to visit him.

Another person commented that Juyeon’s heart hates Jiwook for what he did to him, but he can’t help that he is still attracted to him and still loves him. This boggles my mind, cuz how could you still love someone who does that to you?

Everyone in the comment section acknowledged that Jiwook is a big POS for his deeds.

Both top and bottom are pieces of crap in this story, but the top’s warped attachment and obsession has me curious how their painful story will end. I know everyone is on edge about the novels portrayal of beastiality and gang rape and it seems in chapter 16 Juyeon is getting dark thoughts about “not having done enough”. But there is the disclaimer every chapter that this will differ from the novel so I really really hope gang rape and beastiality will be one of the differences. Personally I dont believe the author will draw beastiality, so the thing Im really worried about is gang rape. The assault from Juyeon is bad already, I really hope the author leaves gang rape out of it too…

I read the novel there wasn’t any Beastiality, and I think tbh the reason Juyeon still liked Jiwook to an extent was because Jiwook ends up becoming dependent on him and clingy due to a bit of Stockholm syndrome and it literally makes Juyeon question if he should carry out his revenge or stay like this with him.

I also wonder which parts they’re going to change, if they take out the gang rapes for the main story I hope they take it out for juyeon’s past too otherwise it wouldn’t be fair yk? Since it’ll be like Jiwook was the only one who did it.

Why are people saying theres a scene with a dog, Im glad I met someone who read the novel and confidently say theres is no such scene

Yeah dww I read the whole novel and side stories there’s nothing to do with animals, and unlike what people said Jiwook isn’t a pedophile he was a 9th grader in him and Juyeon’s past, there’s apparently a rumor Beastiality was in the original story but I’ve yet to see any proof, there were scenes where Juyeon was trying to humiliate Jiwook by making him use puppy pads so maybe people mistranslated that

The original version of the novel that was published in 2021 had bestiality in the second side story where Jiwook is having a schizophrenic breakdown. It was changed to no longer include the dog as of 2024. If you look hard there are outdated pirated versions of the novel that do include the bestiality. It was removed likely because with the novel being adapted by an actual industry veteran artist and becoming mainstream, people probably would not want to see THAT.

The gang rape is almost certainly going to be there, though. It's a crucial part of the story and Lee Geumsan has drawn gang rape before, albeit for a much shorter scene. The scene in Yeokjisaji is LOOOONG.

It’s so confusing because in other comments they were saying that it has beastiality and i just red a detailed explanation of what happened to him(it’s so traumatising)

Although season 2 became pretty volatile and filled with scenes of SA, one thing I really do appreciate in this work is how badass some of the female characters are. You’ve got Jaewon’s villainous ambitious mom sure but more importantly you’ve got Hee-seo’s detective friend from high school, Eunsung.

In a lot of BLs theres either a lack of female characters or they are treated as obstacles/sex objects for one or both of the mc/ml. Eunsung has no romantic interest in either the mc or ml. From a young age she’s focused on survival, working to support herself and making deals to pay for her mom’s hospital bills, and she doesn’t make excuses when she’s caught by Hee-seo. She’s tough, resilient, compassionate, and has integrity. And then she grew up to become a detective who, slight spoiler from chapter 85,
isn’t afraid to take on criminals who threaten her life. She’s so cool and I would totally read a spin off story about her.

Was curious what senza replica meant and found two possible meanings?
1.) literal Italian translation: “Without reply”
2.) musical context: “Without repetition (no repeat)”
I dont know what to make of this

    Sumire Tachibana April 9, 2025 8:35 am

I don't either T-T but neither sounds good!!

Did a little more digging and senza replica could also mean “without copy” so maybe its just saying Dowon is irreplaceable idk lol

There’s something about angry/makeup sex and a dominant top controlling your pleasure but never putting you through pain that just hits so good

Sohan is just too sweet for this world ╥﹏╥

“Art is meant to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed” I think applies here

Byeong-hak is the real MVP for dragging out the senior and shouting loud enough for Chaejun and Seunghyun to hear that they’ll be all alone in the art department. Mans wanted to give them the privacy to fool around

Chapter 19 was so sweet
Spoilers/ long Analysis ahead

1. Chaejun cuddling Seunghyun using the excuse of keeping him warm
2. Seunghyun getting upset at the thought that Chaejuns feelings for him aren’t genuine
3. Chaejun holding Seunghyun closer when apologizing to him, knowing it’s his fault Seunghyun got sick (AC)
4. Chaejun shyly hiding his face behind Seunghyun after saying he’s gonna do what he wants
5. Them accidentally pressing their faces too close and getting shy and blushing
6. Chaejun shamelessly taking advantage of Seunghyun’s coughing to awkwardly flirt with him
7. Seunghyun refusing to let the nipple thing go even when they make up, and Chaejun’s little “Can’t I?”, insinuating he has every right to suck his nipples in his sleep (he lied in chapter 16). This is the best line in this chapter, it’s possessive and confident but delivered in such a low effort way
8. Chaejun initiating just a kiss, but Seunghyun going further and not wanting to stop (the rubbing on the D?? Sir???)
9. Seunghyun freaking out about being caught but Chaejuns just looking at and reacting only to him.

Their feelings are all out in the open in this chapter.
At this point Chaejun knows Seunghyuns feelings run deeper than he admits because imagine fighting, then putting space between the two of you, and your situationship comes to find you while he’s sick and you know the journey is physically difficult for him (ch 9). We know what you are Seunghyun. And Chaejun is just Chaejun, forever loving and greedy with him.
The author really knows how to draw out the little details that create such sweet moments
