You know how they said his happiness is what really matters?? Like... I have questions. I know his family is very conservative it's so annoying, and because of that I think they're the kind to impose their conservative way of thinking on their son (which is basically the reason Sakuraba grew up to be such a jerkface, like twf do you mean "why are you a man?") But ever since that phone call, I really expected him to come out with his parents, you know. But now, this isn't my point.
My point is to rant about my questions because of that call. Like, is that the author hinting that although they have a conservative way of thinking, they would've cared more about their son's feelings? If their son came out of the closet, would they have been disappointed, but accept him regardless?? Was Sakuraba only overthinking this "being hated and all" and has pointlessly become the way he was?? (Because that'd be annoying).
Uggghhh if the author made him come out, I wouldn't be ranting here like this. Even mangas with actual open endings are much easier to accept than this. I mean, it's exactly because it's clearly a closed ending despite having so much left unturned, which is why it's kinda disappointing.

I mean the characters aren't, but I like how it's written. This freaking hurts. Stories like these are proof you don't have to always write about perfect characters. I mean, I'm also one of those readers who get frustrated seeing assholes of a seme, but there's a line between stories you can't relate to and stories you may relate to. I'm saying this because Kan-chan isn't the best, he's most definitely good, and he's really horrible. But he has reasons for that, and sure, some may say that the reason isn't enough, but you know... that's just how humans are. Emotional. And once it gets emotional, you can't weigh or scale or reason.

I wasn't expecting much for this and the characters' sexual activity almost overwhelmed me lol. I know there are a lot of playboy characters in yaoi, but somehow this one bothers me, not to mention the age gaps with uke's partners.
Surprisingly, there was no part where I wanted to drop it and I actually liked the development in the end. I'd like to say that the author should've shown more of how the uke caught feelings, but actually it's implicitly there already. I like how they became straight forward about their feelings in the end and it wasn't all awkward when they met again.
(But I don't get why it suddenly became a fake-lover trope in the middle lmao. I thought it was a bit unnecessary. It probably gave a "could have been" sense of feeling for the characters to make the parting ways more dramatic, but drama would've still been the same without it since they already had feelings for each other.)
Basta ampogi ni hokuto hahaha

Rereading for, like, the third time already and hating on myself because i dunno if I really didn't know or just forgot but AOI AND INOSUKE?!!! Had I been skipping the bonus pages??? Wtf. I mean there are signs, like Inosuke stealing food and all those scenes, but I'm just doubting myself rn because I knew about tanjiro and kanao. I really dunno if I just forgot or what.
I like the black-haired girl better than the second ml, although they're probably gonna end up together. Excuse me for liking a girl who knows her worth and doesn't settle for anything less, and excuse me for disliking a guy who doesn't know his boundaries, chasing after a girl who's clearly HAPPILY in a relationship.
But god pls, don't let that black-haired girl be any worse than this. I'm so tired of third-rate villainous bitches, and the way things are going, the author will probably turn her exactly into that.
