I'm thinking... Maybe he's not a normal human? Seeing as to how he doesn't know about the basics like the meaning of rings on your fingers and such and even on education and such and maybe he has a mission there that was given to him that is why maybe he's strict about roles and based on the title itself Sisyphus was know as one of humanity's greatest ruler so MAYBE that's his role to fulfil?
