In all seriousness though, Alberu is such a great leader, his mindset works similar to Cale's. They both think that they are doing it for themselves but actually produces good results among the common people and their comrades. Cale will never really live comfortably if Alberu isn't his King, that's why he needed to save him and maintain his status as the Crown Prince
