Is it just me?? I know a lot of manhwas write the love interest to be a complete asshole and even in the end they don't change. For those ones it just seems like the author doesn't see the issue with the love interest's behavior but in this manhwa, the author is clearly poking fun at jaehyuk's entitlement right???
They also dive into the topic of homophobia in such a realistic way and so many manhwas don't do that. Like when they said "he never has to hide who he loves because he is straight" and also the flashback. It makes me hope that jaehyuk is going to have a big turn around and become an actual good person because what would be the point of bringing in gay issues if you are going to have him end up with a homophobic asshole.
[Sorry I went on a bit of a rant, but please tell me if you have similar thoughts. I feel like there's so much I need to discuss about this manhwa ]
Without saying any plot spoilers, this manga was good in terms of the slowly unraveling mystery. It kept up the suspense the whole way through and I think it did a pretty good job in revealing bits and pieces of information a little bit at a time. The horror/suspense/mystery/drama part of it was solid.
Now..., the useless romance plots and fanservice was absolutely out of pocket. I hated it so much. There is no reason to draw the characters naked or tied up or have their chests exposed like that all the time and it really makes me question the mangaka, especially after everything is revealed. It is absolutely unnecessary and should never have been added.
Would I recommend this manga? It depends. It works as a horror/psychological/mystery manga, but it's nothing special or extraordinary.
