I just had 2 big surprises too suddenly (end of both chapters). Well, idk about all of you but I unfortunately can relate a lot with the protagonist in the matters of self harm and isolation. I would probably feel the same if I was in his situation, but knowing that my partner also once gave up on live would change my mindset a lot. I'd honestly try to get stronger and understand him. Lee appears in the room and gives an electric shock on mushroom haired dude (knocking him out), and while talking to mushroom'a guards, accuses them of doing illegal stuff in his business and toss them out. After them leaving, Lee says to Hyungdo he's sorry for being late and also that he's fascinated at how much he's pissed off with that situation (~kya) and furious for some reason (really, dude? Are you that slow?). Then Lee offers himself to erase Hyungdo's bad memories and some smexy time starts. Also, I need to put this dialogue below bcs imo it describes exactly what Lee is for Hyungdo (but not that Hyungdo hates it):

Hogu Hagyeongsu is really messed up. I don't recommend it to people who want the story to be sweet. It's not. I like that one, but that's because I find twisted and fucked up stories to be interesting. That one was more than twisted, more than fucked up, and didn't really have a too happy of an ending. There's chapters on end of just rape scenes. So much that I almost stopped reading, but instead I started skipping those chapters.

I don't know if it's your cup of tea but this manga left me feeling the way you just described (this one it's also fantastic). The story it's a little more complicated but the couple have the same feeling to them in my opinion.

You all complaining about disappointment... don't expect Lee to be the knight in shining armor we all love, he's a wolf in sheep's clothes and you should know this, don't read this thinking it'll be as every other yaoi or as reality, this is fiction. I'm pretty aware that he's a fucking jerk, and I'm definitely not fine if someone treats me this way in real life. But this is is fiction, and I love Lee the way he is because his character is really well made, he's hot and his dick is big hehehe If you don't like it, stop reading. I'm pretty sure there are a lot if manhwas that are fluffy as hell and will not give you "disappointments"
