I feel bad for Myeonggil and all the things he’s been through and all. Like, sure their sex is hella hot, but it’s so disturbing at the same time bcoz we get all the psychological details from all the characters… I do feel bad for each of them to a certain extent (like Myeongil 80% and each of the brothers 10%), but (and here I might be the weird one): Myeonggi dude, you’re cringe.

Shima is slowly but surely maturing right in front of our eyes. He’s realising his shortcomings and making sure to they don’t end up messing up his life. He’s finally starting to stop thinking he somehow has to act “as expected” and only think about how people see him. I love how much he admires Mitsumi-chan, how he doesn’t idolise her. Instead, he’d rather be as sincere and focused as her; she inspires him. This story is so freaking human it makes me smile like a dumb bitch.

And even if it were her fault: you killed her family, her friends, you inflamed the news with slander against her for your and your party’s own benefit, you incarcerated her in a room for no less than 3 years, you caused her getting into a terrorist attack that ended with her losing her only opportunity of having children, due to the miscarriage she will probably never be able to get pregnant again, you basically congratulate her for becoming barren and follow to feed the flames of suicide in her… WHO IN THE WORLD IS EVER GOING TO SYMPATHISE WITH YOUR SORRY EXCUSE OF AN ASS? Preach. Surprising I don’t dislike the male lead but I certainly think a story like this should end that they don’t get together. It’s easy to forget what’s he’s done, no matter how tragic of a life he had, it’s never an excuse because he brought this hatred towards an innocent person himself. But the issue with stories like this is that he’s the male lead. I’ve seen some praises from the novel how this was handled. And this is a first that the male lead backed down and gave a divorce. So let’s see how it unfolds from here, even if unpleasant
I totally agree with you friend. I started reading the novel last week and in some ways it is heading towards a different path if you ask me. It’s just that when reading these kinds of stories I can’t avoid imagining them in a real setting. Like, ofc the ML is very pitiful, he’s literally the result of torture and brainwashing, he’s a sheer example of what’s wrong with corrupt governments, and I totally sympathise with his own suffering. But no I can’t bless a happy ending if there’s no reason to believe it’ll stay happy afterwards. As you say let’s wait and see how it unfolds maybe it surprises us, who knows.
I think this manhwa was made for me. It’s just become my new fucking obsession.
