It’s not over the top, no excessive exaggeration of same-sex intercourse at all. It feels like real sex. So overwhelmingly endearing.
The story is pretty cool tbh. I see why people feel it’s long, but it feels like a nicely paced soap-opera to me. I just mean to say I’ve read longer stories with a lot more cliches and people only have bad things to say about this one. Also the official translation is good, with all the 17th century English. Very curated characters and we get an ample glimpse at all their lives and points of view. I really like a male lead that has it’s ups and downs, and imperfect villains with a lot of faces…

I used machine translation to more or less get the gist of the story so there might be some inaccuracies to my understanding.

All in all, Daejong keeps being acting like a mat for Sihyun after this chapter as we all expected. He goes to Sihyun bar naked with only a long jacket as we see in the main story. He tries to get Sihyun’s attention and Sihyun ignores him completely to go harass Hyuk. He’s heart broken as usual. He contemplates his life while home alone, and when Sihyun’s back, Dajeong tries to explain that he “wants to be a family” with Sihyun. Sihyun goes berserk and strangles him while explaining the reason to why they didn’t become a family: Sihyun’s father is a pdf and a fucking pervert that traumatised Sihyun, blah, blah, blah… And he wanted to marry Dajeong’s mum to rape Dajeong to his heart’s content. Sihyun didn’t care what happened to Dajeong in the beginning but our baby was so precious he could not leave him alone and started to interfere with his dad’s advances growing closer together. He can’t understand kid Dajeong’s feelings of wanting to be a family with them all even though he was uncomfortable with Sihyun’s being all touchy-feely, but he said that as long as his mum is happy he is happy. This woke something up in Sihyun, a mix of fear, jealousy and disgusting lust, that mixed with his own kinks made him want to strangle kid Dajeong’s to death, he’s stopped by Dajeong’s mom as we know. Back to the present, Sihyun stops strangling Dajeong and Dajeong tells him that he’d be happy to be killed by Sihyun if it will make him feel some affection towards him.
Long story short, Sihyun runs Hyuk’s mother with the car as we see in the main story, like that he can get closer to Hyuk blah, blah. Dajeong is fully traumatised after the other day, he feels like he is completely alone since Sihyun has Hyuk and his mother’s dead, he starts spiralling and goes back to Sihyun’s when it’s already dark. There he sees Sihyun putting on some bandages, he has a panic attack cos of his mother’s death and Sihyun calms him in some way. This conversation I don’t understand, but Dajeong has some sort of epiphany: he might have never loved Sihyun, he just wasn’t able to be alone or something like that. He tells that to Sihyun who’s in awe but happy cos that way he’ll be out of his business. Next day he goes to harass Hyuk at the hospital again, he brings him back home and makes a move on him, he even strangles him as we see in the main story, but he ends up not enjoying it the same as with Dajeong, and he’s pissed. On his way back he just wants to kill Dajeong and then commit suicide after to fulfil his kink, but Dajeong has already moved out by then.
Dajeong is back to his mother’s place after 2 years. He starts acclimating to his new loneliness, he gets back in touch with his friends, gets a pet hamster, goes to uni and works part-time, obviously Sihyun doesn’t contact him once. Obviously, Dajeong has kinda developed some sort of penchant for getting strangled by Sihyun as he sometimes strangles himself while thinking about Sihyun. After a while he goes back to talk to Sihyun cos he wants to apologise for leaving without any notice, when Sihyun sees him he straight away rapes him in the storage room as if he’s a cocksleeve, no matter how much he cries, etc. When they’re done Dajeong realises Hyuk had seen them doing it and he runs away embarrassed, Hyuk asks Sihyun why he hurts the people he loves and he says “cos it’s fun”, to what he says “what disgusting personality trait” or something. Dajeong is spiralling cos he’s embarrassed, he just wanted to apologise and part ways on a positive note but he forced him to do that against his will and in front of Hyuk (he thinks he did it on purpose to hurt him even more). He finds him disgusting at this point. When Sihyun goes back home he finds Dajeong, he is very angry at him and tells him to go fuck himself cos he doesn’t want to see him anymore etc, and they part ways for good.
Time passes and he’s doing a lot better. He’s got a routine and all, and is very happy with his life, but he can’t shake off the memory of the psycho. On the flip side, Sihyun loved how Dajeong looked when he said he hated him and thinks that being alone is not as bad as he thought even though the whole house reminds him of Dajeong. He starts stalking him to see how he’s doing, Dajeong is happy with his friends and content with his life in general. From Dajeong’s side life has gotten better even though he misses Sihyun still, and can’t get over him just yet. The hot season comes and while he’s looking at all the clothes he bought to look like Hyuk his friends come over to wish him a happy birthday with some cake. At the entrance there is a package with a bouquet of sunflowers and a huge cake without a letter, he instantly knows it!s from Sihyun. They have a lot of fun eating cake together and a girl of Dajeong’s group confesses to him, he rejects her cos he’s not ready for that yet and she takes it very well, they all stay friends and continue drinking and partying. When everyone’s fallen asleep Dajeong takes the cake and starts eating it on his own, while crying.
Very long summary, I’m sorry, but I genuinely hate this kind of pushover behaviour from him. I don’t think seme deserves any more opportunities or sympathy either.

and i agree with hating pushover behavior, but it was predictable. giving dajeong this trait was the only way for the author to get them together. even a tiniest ounce of self respect would make him call the authorities lol
The ML is already too possessive for my taste… but it’s his sexuality ffs. It feels so very rude to talk about his private life behind his back to “keep him being the baby”. It like saying “us straights know how to protect this gay let us cook”, like… no?
