I can only feel a small bit of all the pain he must’ve endured. He became the very image of what he hated because of fear and trauma. It just breaks my heart to know all this truth.

Someone’s trauma is not a justification, I’m sorry. Obviously, the Yoon brothers father is a monster pedo rapist that deserved worse than he got, but knowing how horrible it is to go through that horrible experience he decided to actively try to ruin his brothers’ lives and brutally rape his adoptive brother’s boyfriend. Even if he suffered a lot it is not really like you can forgive what can’t be undone, or like call him a different name.

I guess u don't get my point, ur comment here doesn't Adresse what I said I'm.not talking about what he did and its not bad and he is all good or what not, all I'm saying the statement:He became the very image of what he hated because of fear and trauma is wrong .
I would understand if u said he did some stuff like his father SOME AND ONLY SOME . BUT TO SAY THE IMAGE IF SOMEONE IS BIG WORD ,
Also I never said he is innocent why are u trying so hard to bash him and show how bad he is lol just like some people run to defend someone ur doing the exact opposite

IF CRYING BIG MEN IS YOUR RELIGION CONSIDER ME YOUR POPE.
Now seriously, my poor big puppy feels so guilty I’m suffering as well. She loves you dear, you’re the only person she actually feels at ease with. I guess you mistakenly think she’s trying to have trauma-sex with you, but you fail to see that you never balanced possible new feelings or new events in her life might have shaped her differently this time. I need them to talk and cry together like NOW.

I think Heiner and Annette know that better than anyone else. I appreciate they had the time to thoroughly explore each other’s identities outside of they very predictable romance, but this is not mainly a story about romance for me; this story’s main themes are trauma and responsibility.
I love that we got to see Annette grow into a better human being, a better woman not a plain “perfect victim” as we usually see depicted in manhwa, her character could have been even better if she had had more time to grovel her father’s heinous acts and how her lack of awareness made her a rich bystander who also caused harm by lack of action. But I do feel she has done the best with everything she had going on. I’m so proud of her for getting so far.
Regarding Heiner, I still hate and can’t forgive what he did to Annette, he was a conniving and spiteful piece of shit who used her as a punching bag for at least 4 years of torment. Thankfully, that is all in the past and the one who has to forgive him is Annette, not me. She felt she could forgive him, he did everything in his power to be forgiven, he respected her times when the time came, and she felt like they were now two different people but at the same time still similar enough to be together; so, I respect and cherish that difficult decision and pray for their future as a family. Now speaking from reader to character, I am so, so, so extremely moved by his growth story, this is what I expect from an absolute piece of shit of a ML when they are supposed to get “back together” with the MC in the end. He repented, he grovelled, he yearned, and suffered, but he really understood his mistakes, learnt from what he did, improved his mental state to be with her as a real man and respected his partner’s wishes as an adult with emotional intelligence. He became a full-fledged man, a great partner and got to finally enjoy his own existence without latching onto a title or a person. Contrary to the usual way authors have of depicting a “man in love”, which to me just comes across as a very possessive, clingy and childish man, who doesn’t want his FL to have a life outside of him and viceversa, this is the type of man that is really in love, at least to me.
It has been a journey guys, I’m glad we got to live it together.
You totally surpassed my expectations baby. You’re exactly what I mean when I say I wanna see a down to earth black cat seme. I’LL BE YOU ABSOLUTE FANGIRL FOR THE REST OF MY EXISTENCE.
