I get why people are hating on grandpa. Regardless of whether she's "naive" or not, no self respecting woman with two brain cells to knock around their noggin is gonna be happy with being forcefully told what to do regarding who to marry.
People are pissed off because damn it, if I was judith and decisions are being made about my life regardless of my opinion I'd probably handle it worse than her and say some very scathing words about not being anyone's property and don't tell me what to do when none of those adults were there when she was growing up.

She owed none of then anything. She survived that long without any of them. The extent of their relationship is paper thin especially with that controlling grandpa.
He has no right to tell her what to do relative or no. Besides, the reason judith's look alike ran away in the first place was because he was an assh*l* who did the exact same bullshit and is doing it again having learned absolutely nothing.

Comedy or no, an elderly throwing a tantrum because they didn't get their way is a very real thing to alot of people and it is one of the most unpleasant experiences in life. At that point, your patience will run thin and you wish for some very unpleasant things.

I'm glad they made up eventually and short haired girl realized what she did wrong but regardless of whether you're an adult or child you must be taught or made to understand that shouting your opinion in somebody else's face doesn't make you right. If anything it gives you less credibility and tells more a lot about you as a person that what you are talking about.
