I was so in love with this manga when I first read it because it was so endearing to have two, very similar yet different people, love each other in a way that isn't very straightforward. When things started 'progressing' (even though too slow for my own liking), I wasn't annoyed because I understood their positions - Ren's eagerness was well, mainly due to his insecurity of being unable to affirm that Haru was solely his and come on, Ren is an adolescent. Haru's unwillingness was due to him being the more 'responsible one'; he had to view the situation as an adult and put into account that Ren is still a minor. I was simply looking forward to seeing the precious and loving exchange between the two but Haru's second memory loss is just... Too much. It pains me to see Ren having to go through this ordeal again. Ren will probably forgive Haru eventually because Ren is simply too in love with Haru that it's borderline foolish. I really hope Haru will realise how much he's hurting Ren and that his words and half-assed gestures of affection doesn't cut out to be a good enough apology for what he put Ren through.

HARU YOU BETTER GET YOUR MEMORY BACK ASAP BUT IN THE MEANTIME DONT GO SAYING SHIT TO REN THAT WILL HURT HIM BECAUSE REN IS SUCH A PREVIOUS SMOL BEAN AND BOIIIIIIIIIII you better be ready because imma fight you if I see Ren cry

This was unexpectedly a very good read. I say unexpected because when I first saw the cover and read the synopsis, I thought it would be another one of those awkward "annoyingly persistently young uke chasing after a cold and emotionless seme" stories (clearly judging a book by its cover, and I mean it in a literal sense IM SORRY I KNOW I HAVE WRONGED) but that thought immediately flew out of the window after reading the first chapter.

Aoi is blunt as hell and Ryoumei is a tsundere, making this whole situation and their interactions very amusing. Ryoumei is clearly very fond of Aoi (and that swoons me because I love it when the seme cares a lot about the uke). I also like the existence of Shunpei and Shuu. Both of them, I felt, were necessary for the progression of relationship between Aoi and Ryoumei. Thank god the author didn't make Shunpei a love rival because that'll be really sad (to hurt your bestfriend and risk losing such a valuable friendship). Ahhh I just love this!

I really can't wait for the moment Onodera confesses to Takano, and Takano's expression will be so full of love and pure bliss. It'll be such an endearing moment. But as much as the author stated a countdown till Onodera completely falls in love (even though we all know he already is), I feel like the confession will take a while more. Onodera has to deal with the the fact that he is eventually going to inherit the company. It stated that it's a "steadfast family business" which means Onodera is obviously expected to produce an heir. I don't think it's right either for the author to write a scenario that shows Onodera has a new sibling and that sibling can be the heir (instead of Onodera) because it's very clear that this whole inheritance issue is weighing down on Onodera. He's hard on himself and he knows, more than anyone, that he needs to improve himself and accomplish significant things for his subordinates in Onodera Publishing to respect him and his capabilities (because they clearly don't; going as far as to say that his award winning book was because the author was famous himself, giving no credit to Onodera). I really want to see how the author deals with this. It'll be cruel for Onodera to not inherit the company in the end because what was his worries all these while for then?

BUT BSKSBDODBDO as much as i do enjoy the bickering between takano and onodera, I want to see some cute fluffy couple moments man

THIS MANGA IS SO GOOD. I can't even predict what will happen and how this manga will end. Yona is seen as the true king, but in the eyes of the people of Kouka, Siwon was the one who brought the country to greatness. Who will eventually be the king truly acknowledged and accepted by the people of Kouka? Then there's also the hatred that Hak has for Siwon; Hak will never be able to forgive Siwon and the battle between the two seems inevitable. Will one of them die?

URGH chapter 137 brought me over the moon with the kiss (GURLLLLL TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH) but then I don't see any of them confessing their love for each other explicitly using words because they have a lot on their plate now and confessing their love for each other doesn't seem the right situation to do it (AS MUCH AS WE ARE DYING FOR THEM TO DO IT). I don't know why but the whole time I was reading this manga, I can't shake off the feeling that Hak will die in the end (does anyone else feel that?????) He's hell bent on protecting the princess that he'll give up his life for her at any moment and I'm just scared that will actually happen. PLEASE DONT KILL HIM LET HAK AND YONA EXPERIENCE THE HAPPINESSS THEY DESERVEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Do main love interests die sometimes in Shoujo mangas? I don't read enough of them to know. I don't think Hak is going to die though. Most likely Hak is going to live till the end to be with Yona. The author could make Hak die to really surprise readers though, and if that happens I'm sure it will be in a very emotional way towards the end. I feel Soowon might die more than Hak or anyone else. But like I said, who knows what surprises the author has up her sleeve! I'm just enjoying the ride!

Oh my gosh me too! Hak has the qualities of a most just and beloved protagonist dying early in a show! Or crippled. Damn that would be THE twist! And the forsight of the priest is still unanswered! So i guess suwon or hak is gonna be the shield.

If Hak dies or becomes crippled that would definitely be a crazy twist! If that were to happen though it would probably be towards the end of the series (especially Hak getting crippled. He can't run around with the Happy Hungry Bunch crippled!). It would be very emotional too I'm sure! I don't think Hak will die though, and after all this time watching Hak and Yona's relationship grow, I don't want him to. Getting crippled sounds more lie an option. Don't like that either but at least he is still alive! :)

I absolutely agree on the fight between Hak and Soo won being inevitable. But honestly I think Soo Won will die not Hak. The author has been kinda low key about it, but have you noticed especially towards the beginning that Soo Won is pressed on time. Like one time one of the advisers commented on the timing Soo Won executed the king's murder and he was like “I don't have that much time.” Or something along those lines. And again when he was hiding Yona under his cloak and they thought he was getting cozy with some lady. They commented on time then too. If you pay attention, you'll notice that him and all his advisors will just slip that phrase in there sometimes. I think he's sick because otherwise why is he so pressed on time?

I like this theory....but one thing that has always bothered me. He keeps stating he doesn't plan to sit on the throne, doesn't plan to marry or provide heirs....he just wants to make Kouka stronger (and fully expects to be punished for what he did)....so then who did he expect would take over once he made Kouka strong? He tried to have Yona killed in the courtyard (although I think that was unplanned and he had hoped that Hak would save her and run away the way they did). Then later he thought they had both died. So I don't know who he expects to take over once he's gone?

I don't think he regrets his actions (of taking over the throne and the things he did after) because from young, it was shown that Soowoon was more than what he portrayed himself to be (you can even consider it to be calculative, actually) so he might have actually been preparing himself since the start. I wouldn't say he wasn't sad about having to betray his two precious childhood friends, but he just saw the need for Kouka to be stronger more important and of more priority than his personal sentiments. OH MY till now, I don't know whether the feelings that Soowon has for Yona is love, or just simply caring for her. I think it's leaning more towards the latter though!

Oh my. I've never really noticed the little details behind Soowoon's actions and words (because my mind is usually preoccupied with thinking that Hak is going to die that it makes me so anxious) but you opened up my mind to a whole new possibility! That might also solve certain questions; for example if he were to die, then there wouldn't be a dispute over who is suppose to be King/Queen in the end. But the idea of Soowoon practically sacrificing himself...... :-(
