(no words. kind of convoluted in the sense that things just always go so fucked. it feels wrong to root for anyone at times. characters and world building are kinda rlly good. i wish there were more chapters about this power system and the world itself but i have a feeling it would be extremely graphic and disturbing. definitely my kinda genre.)

(this story was captivating; its absurd, borderline insane, disgusting, but intriguing. the authors take on the poetry that is les fleurs du mal, all about loss of sanity, eroticism, disgust with oneself, death, and idyllic worlds that reside far yonder. i think this manga captured the essence of those themes and provided a happy alternative for the poor make protagonist whos confronted by this kind of reality. this author truly creates strange stories but the ending was satisfying.)

(the way each chapter and character is deliberately written is soooo… breathtaking. each philosophy and lesson legoshi learns is so impactful. truly a work that reflects the best and worst of humanity even if they arent full humans. i think the world building is just done so perfectly and realistically, it rlly makes the stakes feel heavy. each characters journeyvis purposeful and makes sense. the ending is abt as realistic as it couldve been. definitely worth reading.)

(a very captivating art style and plot. its a very sick and morbid tale of the evils some disguise but also of the goodness that exists to preserve innocence. it felt a bit strange at parts after the time skip given the protagonists whole strange mental state, felt uncomfortable at times, but theres meaning to it. its supposed to be jarring and whatnot. the ending was well put together. very nice short read.)

(not shounen but close enough; perfect ending and everything connected together in the end. ive read plenty of reincarnation type shit before but this ones truly unique. its no wonder its going to air as a kdrama.)
