Hello, everyone! Hagane productio here, one of the people who has been scanlating the series since February after last group abandoned the manga last year. It's been a while since we've managed to get out a chapter, but it's due to some technical difficulties and irl stuff our translators have been experiencing. Chapter 8 is still under work, so please wait patiently. The said chapter has been cleaned since May, but there's still no translation after all these months. We can't say for sure when the chapter will be ready, but we hope you don't ask us too much about it. Thank you.

I've noticed some talk about people asking how many volumes or chapters there are by now of Hitorijime My Hero. I'm the one in our group who keeps buying geteau every month and the volumes (all digitally so far). I keep a list for our group to help with managing the chapters and volumes there are being released. Currently there are officially 40 Hitorijime My Hero chapters. Each volume has some special stuff too that aren't counted as official chapters but we will try to include them with each volume's last chapter. Also, the chapter labeled as Hitorijime Boyfriend's 5.5 isn't officially a chapter. It's just a bonus included with the volume. Recently released 6th volume of Hitorijime My Hero included "real" Hitorijime Boyfriend chapter 5.5, which is continuation to Hitorijime My Hero's chapter 6.5. If you are wondering why some chapters are out of place aka not in chronical order, it's because of they've been listed just like they are in the volumes. We are releasing them in the order they are in the volumes (to make our lives easier). After we've caught up with the volumes, we will work in the order the chapters are released.


Then a bit talk about the long-awaited anime that finally got it's first episode roughly 24hrs ago! It was so amazing to see the characters move after all these chapters and drama CDs.
So,
1. There's an original character called Yabase (矢橋) included to fill (or actually twist) the story. He doesn't appear in the manga unless if Arii-sensei decides to do so. Dunno if she wants a Sasuke-like emo to her series when we've got already some emo stuff ahead in later chapters (oops, spoiler).
2. First episode told us that they are covering both Hitorijime Boyfriend's story and Hitorijime My Hero's. Hitorijime Boyfriend was Arii-sensei's first BL series and it ended up being only a one-shot manga worth of 5 chapters (+ bonus and chapter 5.5 mentioned earlier), but a bit later expanded to the spinoff sequel Hitorijime My Hero. While both series seem to have the same timeline, few things happening in Boyfriend don't make that much sense in My Hero's timeline. Also My Hero's story takes the series further, showing us later how Kensuke and Hasekura are living their life as a couple, but life's rough (not spoiling any further, mwahaha).
3. Beside these two, there's original content but also the story has been a bit altered. Read both mangas if you want to enjoy the series more.

Let's support the anime and buy the DVD/Blu-Ray when they are released. First DVD/Blu-Ray is set to release September 22! And also remember to support Arii-sensei directly by buying the manga. Thank you (=・ω・=)

(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ Yesterday I started to clean the said chapter and translation's process will start soon hopefully, once the translation team can settle and come up with an agreement about the work etc.
