This^. He wasn't supposed to elicit a hateful response outside the short period of time before it was revealed that it was dub-con rather than rape. The dub-con is intentional, the point was to make it look like rape to get a rise, drama. Then, the story was going to reveal that it was dub-con, not rape and everyone was supposed to get back on board with Kureshima now that it has been revealed he had no bad intentions and knew he had Oono's permission, but this hasn't happened yet with people still upset at him. Pretty soon, i'm sure. The plot is open for sincerity now that the drama is out of the way, all that should be left drama-wise is normal relationship things.
