Honestly I expected the uke to quit his job. The seme is being an ass. It is obvious that he likes the manager. And the manager’s reaction to the complaint was SO cute, that had the seme paid attention, he would have realized he’d be able to seduce him fairly easily. But no, he has to threaten his job and ruin his private relaxation time.
Just ONCE I would like to see the blackmailed individual (in a case like this where it isn’t a serious crime), call the blackmailer’s bluff right off the bat and either SAY they will quit, or actually quit and make the blackmailer realize he screwed up and his crush is gonna go away and he now needs to scramble around trying to fix the mess he created, apologize on hands and knees and prove he actually loves the guy while trying to get the guy to fall in love with him.
I don’t need it all the time, but a story like this at least once in a while would be a great change of pace from the norm.
But I am still gonna read this one, though.
I’m super duper agree with you in this. Threatening and blackmailing someone you loved is the worst. I do want to punch that seme once.. okay maybe twice since his manager is super enjoying that 3 hours time of his and there he is, ruining it. I have no issues with people’s like and dislike. But this seme, who is obviously has NO issue but making an issue just to blackmail or for me it seems more like a threat his manager just because he LIKES him. Urghhhh.. but the same as you. I’ll still read this one.

I agree so much... But honestly, at least once I want to read a story where the blackmailed person WON'T fall for the blackmailer... Like, what's so sexi about being threatened to lose everything?

That, too, would be nice! Like, someone else comes along that DOESN'T try to blackmail and actually helps save the uke from the would-be or actual blackmailer and the uke falls for that guy (and that guy falls for the uke), instead.
