So I am not a romantic person. Most of the bl novels I read weren’t romantic... at all. A lot of toxicity going on.
When I started reading HOB I had to force myself because of how slow paced it was (I get it, it was the first long story of the writer) and suddenly stopped at chapter 150 because I got tired of forcing myself reading such a cute, fluffy and 0% toxic story.
If you like wholesome relationships, this manhua (or novel if you want to read it) is 100% for you. Is really sweet and cute, sadly not my type.
Anyway, with the time it gets interesting, the boring part is just the beginning.
As I said before, I haven’t finished this novel because of personal preferences, but just as every MXTX work is amazing.
If you like 3D characters I think you will love it.
It’s the only MXTX work were most of the characters have reasons and get character development.
Isn’t this romance thingy kinda forced? I mean, they barely interacted with each other and now they are in love (????). Just bc the mangaka is one of my favorites I’m going to stick to the idea that the reason behind that development is something better (one of them dying. That would be really angsty and great to see)
Anyway, the Vincent and Gilbert thing breaks my heart every time it’s mentioned.

Look, I understand your point but personally I think this is pretty good and realistic, in a way. It is true that They interacted less than Vanitas and Noe, in a sense, but what they went through was pretty deep too.
Plus, in reality, sometimes it happens that people fall in love with each other after they just met. I can tell you that the last year I went to the marriage of a friend of mine. He met his wife 4 years ago and they fell for each other after only two times they met and talked. They had been in a relationship for 4 years and then they married. Now she's pregnant with their first baby.
Who says that love needs so many interactions? Sometimes even simply their eyes, a word they says can it your heart and win you ever. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
I’m new. Just finished this series in 3 days (srry. I’m bored), and I still don’t get the reason why Yuno gets power ups every fucking time. It’s ok. He is the protagonist rival, but... I mean, all of those qualities could be used for the development of other characters (royalty one for example). I hope the simplicity of the protagonist stays bc probably by the end of the series he will be a demon king that has royal blood from god knows where and would talk fluent Italian, also a lost sister that is an air goddess.
Naruto had the same end so... praying.
I think the main couple is kind of boring if we compare it to the second couple. Tbh Taegyu is a king and deserves to be the protagonist<33
So I don’t know why but some characters seem so real and cute, I cried like crazy and I’m not sensible at all. Some chats were so warm and some scenes were so wholesome I couldn’t help myself.
I like the fact that it’s very subtle when mentioning the problems the characters have so it doesn’t get triggering for some people (like me)that may be in similar situations.
