dongchan thinks that jiwoo was able to recognise him over the phone just from hearing his breathing but dongchan doesn’t realise that when you make a call from a public payphone, the Caller ID will show an area code that is specific to your location.
in that last panel, i think the first three digits of the phone number (065) are the area code, which is how jiwoo could tell that someone from their rural town was calling him.
jiwoo would have then assumed it was dongchan calling since he was already in contact with some of the other club members and nobody else really had a reason to call him! but he wants to let dongchan keep believing that he recognised him from the sound of his breathing because it’s more romantic that way i guess ^_^ i hope that made sense Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
