The black haired dude is the DK. As was mentioned in Ch. 6. But that first part of your comment would explain why Graham smiled so creepily at her in one of the previous episodes. Even if he's not reborn like her he might have sensed something was off before he left her behind so he's smiling at her to tell her he's not letting her get away. So that makes Graham more likeable than not, actually.
