it pisses me off everytime i remember that both Taichi's mom and dad already had lovers when they decided to divorce yet neither of them even try the bare minimum to bring Taichi along to their new family/relationship/whatever. they hesitated and try to pass him onto each other like hot potato game, it's as if they never cared about his feelings and well-being as their child to begin with. no matter the reason by the adults, all shit ass, it's obviously unfair how they left him behind AND didn't even talk to him. grandpa wouldn't have gone as far as distancing them from Taichi if the parents were any willing to be with their son
